Just found this and wanted to say how much I enjoyed both parts; thanks for the interview!

Interested to read about "A Barve Like That"… I always assumed an earlier draft had the Sarlaacc as the "entity" Fett was talking with!!!

I'd have LOVED to have read "Dark Angel" by DMK, as I'm sure it would've been much better than the backstory we got.

DMK's stories – particularly Last One Standing (one of my fave short fiction pieces ever, in fact) – are the sole reason (apart from the cool "look"!) I find Fett interesting as a character. Ah well, my "personal canon" accepts DMK's (and most other's) stuff over the prequels anyway!

Oh, and Kevin Anderson was right at the time… back then, all EU stuff WAS canon, until Lucas decided to make the prequels and abandon everyone's hard work. So, Kevin was telling the truth, from a certain point of view… ;)

Glad to here DMK is back in the mix. I love the story about BF as well as his other work.

Being part of the literary world seems hard to me, DMK stands by his writing…at great cost to himself at time. I, for one applaud him.

very nice interview.
i felt as if there is almost a jaded tone to Daniel at times, almost like a gunfighter who has given up his guns…
he seems to have outgown the fett, but i really enjoyed his comments about continuity, and i would be interested in reading his writing.
