Today, the Official Star Wars website released a press announcement that names the director for the second stand-alone Star Wars film, due out after Episode 7 and the first stand-alone feature.

The announcement does not name a subject matter nor the writer. Still to this day, there is still zero official confirmation of a Boba Fett film.

Both Trank and Gareth Edwards have gone from highly-acclaimed indie features to big-budget studio features -- with attachment to their sequels. That's a huge similarity to both of their resumes. Trank is behind the new "Fantastic Four," not the one we've already seen. See his resume on IMDb.

Which director do you think is doing the rumored Boba Fett stand-alone film?
