Over the years one character has forever captured our minds, he captured minds as swiftly he would a bounty. After reading nearly all material there is about the mysterious character Boba Fett, I have realized that many people can easily connect to this character. He is cunning, logical, resourceful, and well accompanied by a firm sense of justice.

I do not consider Boba Fett just a character from some movie — but instead as a role model.

Religion and Boba Fett

Boba Fett did not and would not have any religious affiliation.

“I bow to no one and I give service only for cause.” — Jaster Mereel / Boba Fett

Tales of the Bounty Hunters

The bottom line is Boba Fett wouldn’t worship you or anyone else, alleged deity or no. This hunter is on his own side, not some divine faith. He used his logic and his wits to get things done. Boba Fett did not use any overrated mystical powers to aid him in his quests of profit.

“That Jedi superstition? Gentle lady Organa, if the Force exists I have seen no proof of it, and I doubt it does.”
– Boba Fett (on the Force, to Leia )

Tales of the Bounty Hunters (p. 297)

After the first version of this editorial I have gotten a few harsh emails from some Christians, I’d like to clear up — I did not write this to offend anyone in anyway. I’d just like to clear that up. This is suppose to be a fun site, cheer up, and don’t send me a bitter pill.

Government and Boba Fett

“Those worlds rose in rebellion against the authority legally in place over them. The Emperor was within his rights to destroy them; they threatened the system of social justice that permits civilization to exist. I am sorry for the deaths of the innocent. But that happens in a war, Leia Organa. The innocent die in wars, and your side should not have started this one.” – Boba Fett (on the Rebellion, to Leia)

Tales of the Bounty Hunters (p. 297)

As stated before, Boba Fett was on his own side, however, he was not some lawless outlaw. He believes in a strong system of order and justice. Do not get him wrong, he isn’t some fascist metaphor — Boba Fett is a strong supporter of capitalism. Gaining wealth is essential in the bounty hunter industry and gain wealth he did. Boba Fett would also not approve of any form of anarchy. He favored the Empire for the credits involved and admired their ways of getting things done. The Empire had a strong sense of order, which even I have come to admire.

Emotion and Boba Fett

Sometimes emotions can drag you down in life. They do not lay a finger upon Boba Fett. Boba Fett is often said to be cold-hearted, you can consider this also as being effective and efficient. Sometimes the emotions of love, pain, and hatred can only cloud over your perception — he merely eliminated this obvious flaw. Many of you will find such things to not be a flaw, however to a top gunning bounty hunter in such a cutthroat society — you’d find faults with emotions as well.

In closing, I’d have to say I try to be like Boba Fett at least a little each day. Boba Fett has been one of the most influential characters to have ever existed and he delivered a cool and calculated ideology to follow in his footsteps with.

In response to several emails, No, I am not trying to brainwash the youth of America and the world into some radical cult and play with their brains in anyway. I collected this information and knowledge through years of researching Boba Fett. In no way, am I trying to make you dump your beliefs.

To Boba Fett ideologists:

Carry yourself strongly and surely, believe in yourself, and only yourself.

May the Mandalorian be with you,

Eric Cromwell
