Sci-fi blog IO9.com is running the top 5 things they want to see. The first comment from member "Pickens" brings up Boba:

I want Kid Boba + Armor at the very least. I don't know when Boba Fett gets at least something that resembles Mandalorian armor, but if it happens at the same time as the Clone Wars, I'd love for them to work it in there somehow. No more Boba Fett sans the armor though; that's kid's just annoying.

IO9.com also had a well-commented story in January about the confirmation of Boba Fett. Commenter "extracrispy" highlights a common opinion we've had on our message boards:

Am I the only person who thinks this is a terrible idea? The reason Boba Fett was so effin cool was because there was a mystery about him… you could make up your own stories as you were playing with the action figure. The back story that Lucas introduced in the prequels seemed forced and really killed the Fett mystique for me.

Let's hope they remember Boba Fett's mystique.

Related, back in January, Boba Fett was confirmed by Rick McCallum to be in a new live-action Star Wars TV series, which is separate from a new animated series.

Karen Traviss has officially announced that she will write a 5th book in the Republic Commando book series! The title is Imperial Commando, and judging by the name of the book, I'm guessing that it will take place during the Empire.

High resolution pictures direct from the show floor of Comic-Con 2008 featuring the Boba Fett, Stromtroopers and Carbonite Han Solo diorama from Gentle Giant. A great overall composition with the incorporation of the floating element, make this an incredible strong piece. Pretty much everyone loves to see Han suffer.

First up is a Battle at the Sarlacc playset. This playset is centered around the scene at the Sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi and comes with a Boba Fett figure to, unfortunately, re-enact his 'death' (We all know he escapes, no one deny it or suffer the wrath of the almighty Fett Fan).

Next is a Boba Fett 'Galactic Heroes' figure that comes with another Sarlacc set.

They have also re-released the Fett Legacy pack which now has the Boba figure with the correct decals painted on with Jango and Mandalore the Indomidable in new packaging that matches the white and blue packaging of the new Clone Wars figures.

There are also a number of Mandalorian figures as well as a certain Boba Fett impersonator.

As for the new Star Wars special, Green promised that the bounty hunters would finally get their due, with sketches that would peek into the backgrounds of favorites like Dengar and Bossk (the writers-room favorite, who Root is determined to get into a tuxedo at some point). Another sketch: One that Meyer promised would finally articulate the true nature of the relationship between Boba Fett and the Sarlacc Pit. Production has already started, and Green said that fans can look forward to some familiar voices, including Star Wars luminaries like Carrie Fisher and Billy Dee Williams.

In June 2007, the "Robot Chicken: Star Wars" television show included Boba Fett and Han Solo in carbonite. Read our news coverage.

The new episode, "Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II," will be broadcast on November 16, 2008 at 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network. Boba Fett's voice will be done by Breckin Meyer.

Seth Green, actor and co-creator of the show, also mentioned to the Associated Press (read the entire story on CNN Money) and mentioned his interest in Boba Fett:

"I had Boba Fett and Barbie go out on a date once — my 12-inch Boba Fett and my sister's Barbie," he recalls. But who could fault Boba Fett for being smitten? "It's hard to resist her," says Green, grinning impishly.

The show's co-creator, Matt Senreich, also told Wired Magazine that the "sequel would hone in on the stories of bounty hunters like Boba Fett, promising 'It's a geek-fest for us all.'"

Fett is expected to appear in the animated TV series this Fall, but not in this August 2008 film.
Another message board member, Orthar, also noted that the color scheme seems to be new according to this ad: grey and red.

On another note, the message boards here at the BFFC have been graced by several members making topics to display their own art. One of these art topics, BFFC AMM (Artistic Minded Mando's), is for everyone to post Fett related art. A joint operation between the BFFC AMM and the Cannibal Mermaid members would be quite interesting… The new BFFC AMM and any other artists are at the BFFC could also learn a few things about starting an art site from the people at Cannibal Mermaid, especially since they seem to be good Fett fans as you can tell by their entries in the challenge.
