    • TV & Film

To celebrate the release of ANOTHER Start Wars film we thought we'd take you back to an earlier episode where we interviewed legendary Star Wars stuntman Dickey Beer.
In this episode we talk to Stunt Coordinator Dickey Beer. Dickey, originally from Holland, first saw film action in what was to become one of the biggest World War 2 films ever, A Bridge Too Far. He quickly became know an as innovator and pioneer of new methods and equipment which led to moving to England and joining the British Equity Stunt Register in the early 80’s and working on films such as An American Werewolf in London and the Fourth Man.
From Boba Fett to The Bourne Legacy, Dickeys career has spanned over 30 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Now based in California, Dickey still uses his engineering experience to create some of the industries leading camera car rigs in Hollywood.
We discuss Dickey’s early career and his experiences fighting his corner to get established in England and working on the Bond films with Alf Joint and Vic Armstrong whom he became great friends with. We also find out he had a pretty good sense of humour.
