Re: Republic Commando: Alpha Squad

ooc: nice disguises guise. The mask and dyed hair i particularly liked. and thanks for changing that Mandal. works better now.

ic: Kad was confident that he had lost his pursuers. The ACP mines had taken down several, and he had heard Deece sniper fire that could only have come from Jag--and he knew that every shot had been a hit. So he took advantage of the time given him. He took his armor off, and went out in his bodysuit. He received a few odd glances, but no one bothered him. He purchased some average civilian style clothes. He bought some gray hair dye, and added just enough to "age" himself over 30 years. He added a mustache, and bought an attache case for his assorted smaller weapons and items, and several larger suitcases containing his armor pieces and his Deece. He also met up with Tal and got an ID saying he was a buisinessman from Commenor. After his disguise was complete, he checked in a room on the backside of the third floor of the hotel.

Re: Republic Commando: Alpha Squad

Tracyn, too, changed his face.  His armour was now inside a large backpack, with random junk thrown in over top.  Some face-paint dabbed to make tribal-esque paterns on his face, and a quick haircut changed his features further.  He added some dark green to his hair, just for the sake of it.  No one would expect a clone with green hair, he thought.  The civilian clothes were acquired at a convenient store, and purchased without a hassle.

With is weapons and armours stowed inside various traveler's packs, making him look like a foreign refugee, he headed for the hotel, but not before picking up an ID from Tal, which varified his status as a civilian from Kiffar.  With his identity completely distorted, he checked into the hotel, and took a room three doors down from where Kad had supposedly bunkered down.  His station, across the hall, would, he hoped, give the squad 360 degree coverage of the area.  At the very least, his window would give him coverage of the front of the hotel.

Tracyn fished out a comlink from  the cluttered backpack, and slipped a small headset on.  With communications restored, substituting for his helmet and HUD, he awaited his next instructions.  His foremos concern now, was: When will I get to blow something up?

Re: Republic Commando: Alpha Squad

Psycho heavily tipped the ecstatic bellhop as he opened the door to a modest little hotel room. The greatful bellhop thanked him and left quickly. Psycho let the door close, and dropped his bag on the seat overlooking the eighteenth floor window. He pulled heavily on his cigar as he slumped into the seat and opened the duffel bag.

Awaiting word from Kad and the others, he began studying the planetary Holonet for news of the upcoming big event. He knew that standard media tactics would color the events slightly, but some creative hacking of Ord Mantell's computer databases would help fill in the gaps nicely.

He hummed a popular jizz tune as he set himself to work...

ooc: we need revan to join us at the hotel, most everyone else is here now.

ic: "Everyone needs a room, but only one or two with a possible view. The rest need to be low and inconspicuous, so they can't connect us. We staggered our arrival, and the disguises are excellent, but they might. Get a room, get some rest, and we'll work the rest out tomorrow. Psycho and Tracyn will leave, separately, to minimize suspicion, and will do what needs to be done there. We'll pick up a ride, pick them up, and meet up for the drinks that the fighter jocks will owe us. It takes place tomorrow."

"Roger that.  Does...this mean I get to blow stuff up soon?"  Tracyn could barely contain his glee.

Re: Republic Commando: Alpha Squad

Gayiyli emerged from the tank of black machine oil he was hiding in, covered in the stuff. He pulled what looked like a fresh water pipe loose from the wall and drenched himself with it, rinsing the various black smudges off best he could. Luckily he remembered to switch off the envirofilters on his helmet, otherwise they'd be clogged and rendered useless.
"Now what hotel was the fall-back position?" 67 asked himself, slinging the chaingun under his shoulder. "Commandos come in...this is Gayiyli, anyone out there?" He said over the private comm channel. "Squad?"

"Static..." Gayiyli looked around for anyone who may have passed by and noticed the pipe gushing out water. "Guess not." He climbed up the access ladder onto the roof of a warehouse.

"Now to find that hotel..."

"This IS my signature."

The body of the farmer slumped over, missing its head. Darkson ordered his droids to torch the house, and to arrest his family. "This ought to teach people a leson about giving me false information." Muttered Darkson to himself, as he watched the droids preform their orders.

Walking back to the command center Darkson commed the commander to begin jamming of all non-military channnels. He smiled to himself as he thought of the frustration it would cause.

Re: Republic Commando: Alpha Squad

ooc: oh, if an experience RPer wants to bring a Jedi into the story, that'd be good for a later mission, once this is over. Could maybe get us a ship. Ralin Drakus, if you want to join as that, you can, or wait and be a commando in a second squad. If you're still interested

Suddenly, a blast of static blared over the comm. Kad ripped his bead comlink out, wincing at the ringing in his ear. "Fierfek, they jammed the comms. And I'd just heard Gayiyli on the comm, too. Well, doesn't this just.....

"......Kad, this is Tal, come in."

"Tal! How'd you....oh, you hacked the military channels."

"Yeah, found us an unused one, and encrypted it. I'll give you the frequency and encryption."

"Thanks. Wait one.....Gayiyli, you there? They jammed the comms, which is going to complicate things. We don't want to give away that we have a secure frequency, so I'll make this brief. I'd like you in a nearby hotel, incase things get real hot here, and we need an ace up our sleeve. Tracyn, Psycho, get the plans for the hangar, and work out how you're going to take it out. Jag, there are some rooftop gardens, check in and take a look up there. We'll probably take the shot from there."

"Kandosii!  Reconnaissance!  Nothing like setting up for a good shot.  Brains splattered on the opposite wall like a nice painting.  It moves me deeply."

Jag checked into a hotel he thought looked pretty good.  No one would ever notice his voice with the translator.  This was perfect.  He beelined it to the roof and settled down.  It was quite nice up here.  A good view indeed...

"Jag, hows the view?"

"Excellent sir. Just beautiful. I'll have fun with this one."

"Good. Now get back to your room. Our friend is speaking at ten-hundred hours. We don't want to miss his speach, now do we?"

Is that position filled yet? If not, and if you approve me as a Jedi in this thread, then I would like to use my character from AoS. Typical Jedi Master, nothing fancy or unbelievable.

Re: Republic Commando: Alpha Squad

Name: Tanis Ardion

Species: Human

Class: Jedi Master

Age: 32

Planet of Origin: Alderan

Appearance: Think Obi-wan from Episode III but his hair is longer and brown, same goatee though. Traditional Jedi robes. This is a good picture http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Ob … g#metadata  however, green lightsaber instead of blue. Also, on particular stealth missions he may wear this Jedi garb instead http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:LukeJedi.jpg

Weapon: One Dark Green Lightsaber. Pretty much the same one that Luke uses in ROTJ, same color and hilt.

Personality: Has the typical demeanor of a Jedi Master. He is humble and sometimes throws light sarcastic remarks here and there.

-----

The doors to the Jedi Council chamber opened, signalling Tanis' entrance. He rose from the chair in the anti-chamber and walked into the circular room. The doors closed behind him.

"Greetings Master Ardion, well you have done commanding the clones as a general on the battlefield. Proud we are of your performance." Master Yoda said in his typical, odd grammar.

"Thank you Master Yoda." Tanis said humbly and nodded slightly.

"Yes Master Ardion, you have excelled in the battlefield, and we are all impressed with your performance. However, we did not call you here to commemorate you. We feel that it is time you be re-assigned." Said Master Kenobi's hologram. he must have been in the field.

"Re-assigned? To another legion?" Tanis asked.

"Oh no, not to another legion. We wouldn't call together the council for that kind of re-assignment." Master Windu said.

"Of course. What do you mean then?" Tanis asked

"There is a Republic Commando squad that has requested a Jedi for their team. We have reviewed their list of missions, and we have decided that a Jedi Master would be the best addition to their team. We chose you due to your past success with stealth operations." Master Windu explained

"Would I be leading them?"

"No. The leadership will remain with Sergeant Kad, the squad commander. But of course, you will not be cast aside either. You would be, after all, a Jedi Master with Clone Commandos. Technically they report to you. However the mission leadership will remain with Kad due to his experience with this particular squad." Master Mundi answered.

"Alright. When do I start?" Tanis asked

"When the squad returns from their current mission, you will be briefed again and then joined up with the team." Windu answered.

"Very well." Tanis nods once more. "I will not fail you."

"Faith in you we have, Master Ardion." Master Yoda says and smiles.

*Damn, Val beat me to it.  Still got a spot for me as a Commando Werda Verd?  Or could I join as something else?  Maybe my AoS Mando in the mix, working for the Republic maybe?*

"You set a code to live by.  I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted...I won't be laid a hand on.  I don't do these things to other men, and I require the same from them."

Re: Republic Commando: Alpha Squad

Sure. We can add either a Commando or a Mando. Probably after the mission, because another commando can't just show up. And a mando could, but a Jedi is most likely to run into. And a Jedi will work well later on in the clone wars.....but we'll be glad to have you.

and good job, Val. We'll probably have at least one, maybe two more mission in this RPG. Maybe a second later.

cmon guys, I just went.

Re: Republic Commando: Alpha Squad

"Alright. But Psycho, be careful. I don't want to have to carry your helmet back with us. And as for that Mando, save his helmet."

Psycho couldn't help smile at that. Let's hope I don't have to carry your helmets back, Vod'ika. Normally, Psycho didn't really care much for other clones on the job, he'd had a problem with the way they did things. Never really seemed adequate as far as abilities. Commandos were generally included in that sort of thinking as well. When he'd encountered one of Skirata's Nulls, a clone by the name of Jaing, that had started to change. Jaing had talked about Skirata like he was the best thing since uj cake. At first Alpha-31 thought it crazy, but then after an extended op a while back, he'd come to enjoy the concept of Mandalorian heritage. He thought the best way to carry on Jango's legacy was through men like Kal Skirata. So, like Jaing, he began to embrace the Mando'ade tradition. It made him proud to do the job he did as well as he did. He knew Alpha Squad was no different. That was why he liked Kad and his boys.

You're getting soft, Psycho, old boy. He said as he got himself ready to meet up with Tracyn for some homegrown fun.

If you want to join now you could always join on the CIS's team as a Mando. I could use some competent help, instead of having to rely on droids all the time.
