Still hasn't become available in the states, yet.  Got to wait until tomorrow.  I think I'm going for the giclee myself, though.  I like Tom Hodges art.  I got him to do a sketch of Kal Skirata and Walon Vau together in their armor, when he was at the Comic Con.  Really nice guy.

I was surprised to see the helmet's release date for winter of 2007.  Usually they have a lot larger time span between pre-order dates and actual release.  I'm not complaining, though.

wink

I became a Collectors Society member *JUST* for making sure I get into the early pre-order for the helmet and hopefully the Studio Scale Slave I. Unfortunately, not long after receiving the pack we all got the very, very bad news... sad Oh well, at least I got the helmet, and at 10% off too! w00t!!

- Sharpy

Well ladies & gentlemen, it has begun! The pre-orders opened a minute or so before 9am Wednesday (2am Thursday for me!!).

It was a tough decision... do I want the giclee or do I want the signature... or am I crazy enough to buy both? Thankfully, sanity prevailed and I am happy to say that one of the 750 signature editions will be mine smile

With any luck one of the giclee's might just pop up on the secondary market somewhere. ;-p

Good luck to everyone else who is testing MR's bandwith this morning!! smile

Hi Sharpy,

There is zero possibility of this as there is no way we could have it done by the end of the year.

Sorry I didn't have better news for you.

Thanks Amy... my tongue was firmly implanted in my cheek on that one ;p

As for the helmet going on sale next week, I can't wait for that... and you said the magic word "electronics" whoo-hoo! smile

Hi Everyone!

I would be happy to answer any questions you might have about our Boba Fett Blaster.  It is an amazing piece!

Hey Amy! My e-tailer here in Australia has just today given me my final invoice telling me that it is now in stock and I can't wait!

My only question is what is the possibility of getting an Empire Strikes back version blaster approved, manufactured and shipped before the licence expires? ;-p (i wish)

Dude, I hear that.  My stuff is still in boxes until I find the right kind of shelves I want for the computer room.  I'd still like to get a place big enough to just put them all inside incased glass shelves or something.  Dusting is a pain in the you know what.  Maybe one day.

Just found this thread.  Awesome stuff, man.  Glad to see I'm not the only one obsessive about collecting Fett stuff.  Welcome to the boards, dude.  I'll have to catch up on the videos this weekend.

And it all started by just wanting to get the different Hasbro Fett figures and thats it. So much for that idea... smile

I don't think Boba will ever slip away.  Mainly because he is a character of mystery...and everyone loves characters who are mysterious.  In all honesty, I think his fan base would be larger if there were less books written about him, because the more we learn about him the less we feel the need to keep learning about him.  As long as there are still books, comics, and costumers...he will never fade away.

I would still be happier to not know as much about him as we do now. It was more fun when there was mystery and all the specualtion about Concord Dawn, Mandalorian Warriors, what he looked like under the helmet.. rather than just a clone who was raised on Kamino...

I find it a little special that not everyone knows about Boba Fett. Makes it all the more better when you meet someone who actually knows who he was. I would rather see more of him at retail, but am happy with his low-key "cult" status.

He doesn't need to be as flashy as Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker... he is cool just being who he is, doing what he does...

Master Replicas actually had one on dsiplay at the San Diego Comic Con last week.  It's a lot bigger than I thought it'd be, and looks really sharp.  We're going to be mentioning it in the next news article about the Comic Con, but here's a pic for you in the meantime.  Enjoy.

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a85/Ma … CF1751.jpg

Is it just me, or does it look a little dusty? It looks like finger marks in dust on the barrel grip..

This just in from Master Replicas:

"What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me." Boba Fett, bounty hunter

Shrouded in mystery, Boba Fett, introduced to audiences in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, proved so popular that he returned again to menace our heroes in the saga's concluding chapter, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

Master Replicas proudly unveiled the first in our range of Boba Fett collectibles in 2006: the firearm of the galaxy's most notorious gun for hire. And what a weapon it is! For the first time ever fans can own their very own, fully authorized, and licensed replica of the legendary bounty hunter's blaster from Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.

We sold out of these in August 2006 but with the delays in shipping we now have a FEW available to sell and we are offering them to the 2007 Collectors Society first!

These will be available exclusively to the CS Members until August 8, 2007.  Then if there are any remaining, they will be available to the general public on August 9, 2007.

Don't miss your chance to unleash your inner mercenary - take out a contract on this today!

There is estimated to be more than 6 Billion people in this world and now you have the opportunity to be one of only 1000 people to own the Signature Edition Boba Fett Blaster signed by Boba Fett himself, actor Jeremy Bulloch.

Get this one in your sights and order yours today before this Signature Edition becomes as hard to find as an Alderaanian alp!

We know you will enjoy this valuable addition to your Star Wars collection for many years to come. So don't delay these are shipping this week and they will not last!

If it's got Boba Fett (classic - not prequel) in it, on it, or about it I've got it or I'm searching for it... smile

I've got my Signature Edition on pre-order, and I can't wait. My E-tailer suggests that it is shipping this month, but I won't hold my breath. (my credit card will breathe a sigh of relief though).

My only lament is that Master Replicas will not have the licence to make a high quality ESB version blaster or sidearm, and I don't know of any other high-end prop maker who would likely take on the licence.... although, Gentle Giant have had their "armory" section under construction for years now, and in 2004 they did mention plans to make weapons and helmets...

Time shall tell...

Sharpy, when do we get to see the full Fett collection? tongue

Construction of Sharpy's Boba Fett Museum is scheduled for early 2025, or whenever his credit card debt is fully paid off... whichever comes first ;p

Seriously, 2/3 of my collection is in boxes because I just don't have the room to display it at the moment. And I'm kind of scared to get it all out and display it in a room and just see what kind of obsessed nerd I really am! smile

I've been registered since just after the new message boards went live...

The Marmit 12" is one of the best 12" figures that I have in my collection (up until the RAH from MediCom or the RAT from Tomy are released - then I'll re-evaluate). I just wish they'd make a RotJ version...

RE= resident evil or bio hazard.

i assumed and possibly mistaken, the "welcomestranger" youtube link, was a call back to the game. the arms dealer is always saying "welcome stranger."

Ahhh yes, I have heard that a bit, but am yet to see any in-game footage or audio. For me, it is just the result of needing inspiration when I created my internet account all those years ago and settling on the name of the biggest gold nugget to ever be found in Australia smile

Life sized statue!?!?!?! Where did you procure this sharpy?

Essentially it is a full size costume that is on a mannequin at the moment. It was procured mostly from ebay in small pieces for a few pretty pennies big_smile
