Re: Sabine Wren

I must say that I am glad that all the Mandalorian lore from the old Star Wars canon doesn't seem to have been scrapped. Seeing this character--and the series as a whole--makes me feel optimistic about the future of the Star Wars Universe.

Re: Sabine Wren

Karson, that's great! However, we had Mandalorians throughout "The Clone Wars." How do you feel Sabine is different? Or you just dig there's some Mando represented?

Re: Sabine Wren

Sabine is definitely different from the Clone Wars' Mandalorians. She is very artistic and brings color in her explosions. She's an interesting character, being a Mando.

It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up for your friends.

Re: Sabine Wren

Galax, true. Other than the art/color angle, does anything else make her interesting to you?

Re: Sabine Wren

I believe Sabine plays a hidden key role in the Star Wars universe. There is something yet to be explained fully with Sabine's backstory. There is much gossip about the theories surrounding Obi-Wan and Satine conceiving a secret child just as Anakin and Padme did. With all of the coincidences revolving around Sabine, it is easy to jump conclusions based on Obi Wan and Satine's romantic background. so many videos have sprouted online on the latest Rey theory, and I have a burning suspicion that Sabine is SATINE's daughter, and Rey is Sabine's daughter.

Thoughts?

Re: Sabine Wren

I love how they showed the artistic similarity between Sabine and the clones (remember how colorful their gunships and armor were), that little artistic flair that I think is prominent in most Mandos. (Whether it's expressed in the detailing of their armor or the loud paint job of an entire YT freighter) The Mando history that is coming into it is also very interesting. Still trying to figure out exactly who her parents are.

Re: Sabine Wren

I mostly see Sabine as a role model I didn't have as a child. She shows that you can be an artist even if you do other things - you can be both a warrior and an artist. I gave up on art for several years because I believed that it's not good for me and I should focus on studying "important" things like Math. Other thing she encourages is learning foregin languages. As you can see I learned English but I know I was able to learn at least two other langugaes if only I had motivation to do so. And if I knew a character like her and chose her to by my role model I'd probably hade it...

As a character alone she's very interesting and I feel the show is teasing us by telling only a little about her. She's usually somewhere in the background, doing what she's supposed to do but usually nothing more. We had a bit more of her during last season but it still leaves a lot of questions unanswered! Maybe that is exacly what makes her so interesting - we don't know much about her. I hope she'll finaly get a book which will allow to write about something more mature than kids show allows smile

I still can't make up my mind about Sabine changing hair colour every season... Repainting her armour seems reasonable but the thing with hair seems... unneccesary. As if Disney only wanted to sell more collectibles because her appearance is changing. Maybe she treats her hair as a piece of her armour since she's often not wearing her helmet and since she repaints her armour she changes her hair colour too. It's just an idea to distract me from that one about selling more collectibles though hmm

Who's looking forward to Sabine in Season 4 of Star Wars Rebels?

Re: Sabine Wren

I really was, but now that I've seen some of the episodes though, I am kind of disappointed because I was expecting more of her than there actually was. I'm definitely hoping for more of her later though, and I am VERY happy because of how Thrawn-based it is. Hoping for some more Mando involvement soon. (And still holding on to a small thread of hope about a late Boba appearance lol)
