Re: KOTOR

But Why Kreia

I mean I can accept Bastila and Carth.

But jeez!!!

and as for the disciple.... well I got rid of that posh git by being a Male Exile...

Re: KOTOR

I like Kriea's cynacism or whatever you call it, her "wisdom", her apathy, and the way she sees people when you go in In-View. If I was a Jedi, I'd probably end up something like her. Not the whole "must destroy the Force" aspect, that I don't care about.

And that's something I'd forgotten, the Peragus mining place, I don't like it much either.

Reality doesn't care if you believe in it.

Re: KOTOR

No neither do I....

What I really don't understand is how Dxun can be so incredibly GREAT!!!
But Onderon is so completely Rubbish...

Re: KOTOR

I liked the puzzle underwater where you save the giant shark by blowing up the machinery. And, before I knew what exactly it was about, I liked the Ganoharadan thing that's based there. I don't see why there's a Selkath on the cover of the box when it's not even a big aspect of the game...

Re: KOTOR

MANAAN STINKS!!!!

I hate it so much. It is a chore to do it and the Selkath bother the absolute Crap outta me...

This isn't supposed to be in the Dialogue forum. Moving it to General and editing the title to something appropriate.

Re: KOTOR

ARGGHHH!!!!

Manaan SUCKS!!!

How can you possibly say otherwise.
I can accept everything you like about this game.

But I can't accept Fans of Manaan and Kreia.
They both stink so bad..

Korriban and Atton on the otherhand...

(Thats the good Korriban on KOTOR not the cruddy Korriban in KOTOR II)

Re: KOTOR

Manaan is rather aggravating...I tend to get lost in all those different screens of city, since they all look EXACTLY THE SAME zomg. And the underwater bit is annoying because of how slowly you move. Urgh. The Sith base is fun, though!

My worst characters:
-Kreia
-G0T0

My best:
-Carth (love his backstory, too)
-Canderous/Mandalore (besides being amazingly cool, that regeneration is really good for staying alive long after everyone else is dead)
-T3 (can't tell you how many times the little guy's saved my life)

I loved the part on Onderon when you assault the palace...amazing how one Jedi and some friends can change the tides of a battle. Also loved the part at the same time when your friends attack the tomb of Freedon Nadd. The friends had a lot more involvement in this one, and I really loved that.

However, I thought the ending parts of KOTOR2 were the lamest ever. In one of the final battles (on the Ravager) you don't get the opportunity to choose your friends. I never use Visas, and all of a sudden she's facing down a Sith Lord with me...lameness.

I did like, though, the fact that you could be neutral and still be a serious force. It's not like in KOTOR where you have to be good or evil to be any good. I've played through as neutral, like I think the Exile should be, using only guns and won with relative ease. Blasters are so much cooler than lightsabers big_smile

Re: KOTOR

I check all the different parts of the boards (except the rpg section cause I never RP, and the Bounty Hunters section cause it's all a bunch of vs. threads), so putting it here to begin with would have been fine. smile

Anyway, I agree, the ending of KOTOR2 had me going, ".......what??? o_0"

Oh, yes, I don't like GOTO either, he was stupid I think.

And, yes, Carth's backstory is wonderful. I love doing the romance with him. big_smile "Yes, what's on your mind?" I like saying, "You are." lol

Okay, it's always early on. You know when you first get Visas, when she tries to assassinate you by waiting in Kreia's quarters? Well, I play using blasters, since I find it so much cooler. Unfortunately, trying to take down a boss with them in close-quarters is...not a good idea.

I move a lot when fighting- mines and stealth, fun stuff like that. Problem is, you never really know when Visas is coming, and the ship is less than ideal setting for me. Simply put, she owns me.

So I run, taking potshots at her when possible. She inevitably gets me down to no health, and she's rushing at me for the final blow, when she brushes by T-3 and he blasts her with his flamethrower out of the blue. It was amazing big_smile

Also, that ion blast is mighty useful against all those boss droids in KOTOR 1. (Not the mention his high intelligence, maximizing on repair kits. I always run out with HK). And don't try and tell me the repair/Forceregen power in KOTOR2 isn't cool.

Speaking of HK, though, anyone else unlock all those voice-cameos from the crew of KOTOR 1, in KOTOR 2? If you get far enough into HK's backstory he plays back some of his impressions of Carth, Bastila and Mission...hilarious big_smile

P.S., T-3 OWNED HK in that cutscene! Take that!
...So what if HK did it to him twice?

Re: KOTOR

Oh c'mon nothing beats a Lightsaber and the Power of the Dark Side of The Force....

Blasters look cool

But The Exile couldn't hit The rear end of a German Sub with a Laser Printer..

Better off leaving Blasters to the Masters

(Atton, Mandalore and HK-47)

Re: KOTOR

Hey man, you get all the Feats for the guns and you can get ridiculous with a repeating blaster rifle. Give it all the necessary upgrades and put on some serious armor (who needs force powers anyway? Heal's all I ever use) and you've got a renegade war-veteran Jedi just like the writers intended. I love the role-playing aspect of the game, and take it to the extreme.

Or you could skip the armor, use stasis and get the sneak attack bonus from the Watchman or Assassin presitge class. That'll own just about anybody big_smile

Re: KOTOR

Wow we sure have different views about how to play this game...

Disciple Sift Through Lies; Few Grains Of Truth Be Known...

Re: KOTOR

I prefer lightsaber, and I use Force powers a lot. On my last playthrough I got a lot of Dark Side powers. (I usually play Light Side, but I really want to play Dark Side on my next play-through) Though every so often I like blasters, but not usually.

Sith Lightning is the best

Disciple Sift Through Lies; Few Grains Of Truth Be Known...

Re: KOTOR

Would you all agree that it is best to play as light side first?
I did that in the first game, and by the time I was finished, I was excited to do everything all over again...the evil way.  But when I got KOTOR2, I foolishly decided to follow the dark path first, and by the time I finished, I had no motivation to play it good, or even neutral.
LIGHT SIDE FIRST!

Re: KOTOR

Well, I never owned this game, but I did play it at Gunslinger's house alot.  I was particularly entranced by the Mandos.  My one big disapointment, though, was the fact that none of the diferrent types of armor ever had butt-plates.  Stupid, I know, but it bothered me none the less.  Anyone who has armor should have something protecting their ***.  And no-one in this game did.  Trust me, I looked.

If ya love me . . .And ya know me . . . And ya've seen me . . .
