Topic: The End of the Fett line
The first Fett you see is Boba. The original (chronologically) in the movies was Jango. Their ancestor is Cassus. How far down the line, how many years will pass before the Fett name no longer exists?

Well I guess it depends on if you mean people born to that name or people adopting the name. I'm sure there's a few bounty hunters out there who would take up the name Fett once the real ones were out of the game.
I meant the serious blood line. Not the name stealing that cost Jodo Kast his life.
Ah well I suppose if you follow Karen Traviss' novels then he has a daughter but she doesn't go by the Fett name.
His grand daughter either. Plus she got married and Im not sure if Mandos change their last name like they do here in the states.
I don't really believe that. I know the story, but real Fett fans know that he doesn't allow emotional attachments. Not to say you aren't a true Fett fan.
My question though was, how long do you think the name will carry on? It may never die. Boba has lived through so many encounters that I'm starting to think he's immortal.
woops didn't mean to do that double post thing....sorry 'bout that...

I'll say it so you don't face the wrath of Draco, here double posting is considered spam. If you have more to add to your last post, before anyone else posts please use the edit button, located directly next to the word "quote" on the right hand bottom corner of the post.
I forgot about it...you put a post same time as me and I got confused...sorry about that. How long do you think the real Fett name will live on though?
It is hard to tell. IHis daugther and granddaughter both have a different name so it does not look like the name will
continue. However, he does have decendants even if he does not allow an emotional attachment to them.

Ah, but You've got to understand. Boba was only 16 when he got married. Still quite young, and without anyone in the world. Naturally, especially after his father had died, he'd want someone to love. And the whole lack of emotional attachments came later, I believe.
Alright; but everyone knew Jango was more of the human side of the Fetts. He actually showed some emotion. I saw how unattached Boba was in the movies and still believe that he is that way. No care for anything but himself and Slave I. Just something of the movies stuck in my head I guess...

Yes this is what i believe as well. This also plays into the young Boba Fett series. He is not emotionally detached instantly. One is not usually born ( or in Boba's case cloned) to have no emotions. I feel like the detachment was developed and learned as a survival mechanism, to protect himself and those he did care for, from the rigors of bounty hunting. And just because he got married, does not always mean that there are emotions involved.
And as for Mandalore Hunter's comments (i still can't figure out how to double quote
) I think that it is fully plauseable to detached emotionaly during the events of the movies, as that was Boba working. And at that later point in his life, that may have been his position at the time. Since we seem to go through stages and phases in our lives it make sense that Fett would as well. He could have gone through his "emotional" stage when he was younger, thus getting married. But then going through a portion of his life where he is stoic cold and fairly emotionless.
I hope i didn't repeat myself too much or anything.
Yes, but Jango taught Boba not to have any emotions. Or at least not to care really. Jango had viewed caring as weakness, so had Boba later on. Most of Boba's legacy is said to be rumor, but id someone could find one weakness, they'd exploit it until the day they get decapitated by Boba.
Cassus Fett is like, what? The Son of the Particular Dantooine farmer on KOTOR I?
Seriously, I'm not sure if it is, but I played KOTOR I and wondered.

its Casus with 2 S's, not three. Cassus Fett was the tactitian in the Mandalorian wars I wondered why they did that too

Yeah they are different people. And I think its in one of the KotOR's ( I can't remember which one) you can buy the Cassus Fett armor.
And with the wife thing... he wasn't what is now considered the idea husband, as he basically left and didn't look back.
Its KOTOR I. I'm playing the games right now. With Fett armor!
I saw that in KotOR 1, but didn't buy it because it was around 15,000 credits, and by the time I had that much, Dantooine was destroyed, and that's where it was sold. I think Fett's name should go on. I don't see why his child wouldn't take his name. And Boba got married at 16? Wtf? How does that work in with all the other stories?
Some one finally agrees with me. and you have to sell ALOT of stuff if you want to get it

I'm not that good at pazaak
