Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

Yeah, the duels were a lot better than in the original trilogy.  Maul's duel didn't last near long enough, though.  It was neat to finally see old Palpy wield a lightsaber, instead of just using Force lightning on people.  Yoda catching the lightning in his palms was very, very cool.  That's why he's the Master.

1 was good,2-3 had Manikin Skywalker in it. 2 was good for the fight/clone scenes. Third also the fighting sceens were good till Manikin opened his mouth. Crappy acting and whining.

Agreed; thats why I own the new trilogy on DVD; I can skip most of the 'Manikin'/Padme parts  big_smile

I love the prequels more than the originals.

everything was great about them

Darth Maul was a beast. Best lightsaber fights ever, because the actor actually was a martial arts guru. Otherwise they sucked. The third movie was OK, but not a patch on the originals. Missing the magic and having the annoyance factor.

Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

III was awesome in its battle sequences, the duels were so fast and angry, a far cry from some of the original exchanges that my kid and I put to shame in the backyard.  I also loved to see the force used in them as it was up to that time merely a fencing match.

It also helped to fill in alot of gaps concerning VADER and added to the mystique of OBI, he really was a Master.  The NEW HOPE was  less than conviencing to how good he was.

It also revealed why VADER fell and just how despicable he was, cutting down kids is pretty low.

There was much wrong, but there was a lot right.

Yeah, Maul rocked. And I'm going with the introduction of the clones as the best. Some of the Jedi were cool, though.

The lightsaber duels are definitely the best part of the prequels. The special effects and costume designs were also amazing.

Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

I think they went to far with the Special affects.  One of the things I loved about Ep. 1 was that they seemed to try and keep to the old scale model look of the originals.  When Qui-gon's and Obi-Wan's cruiser blows up in the begining, it really looked like the old original style effects, wich in my opinion looked better and more realistic then the CGI; CGI has a texture and a look that you can detect, and it ruins the realizim factor for me.  Even wheh it really is a dude in a suit, most of the actors/clones in Ep. 2 and 3 appeared to have a CGI 'touching up' affect that made them ALL look like characters in a video game to me.

That said, the CGI enabled some VERY impressive battles, both in space and on the ground.  Most couldn't have been possible without it

Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

I also think the prequels have a better story.

The characters though not acted as well i find more interesting.

Yeah I agree that it had annoyance, such as Jar Jar and "little ani" in the phantom menace

Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

ok, here's my likes on the prequels

- Lightsaber duels were phenomenal. I think the Vader/Kenobi in Ep III was the best.
- The whole origins of the clones (even though that raises more questions) and their relation to the Fetts and how they adopted Mandalore codes.
- Chris Lee, excellent acting, and I haven't seen him on here, but I liked Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan. I thought he did Alec Guinness justice, more so in Ep II and III...
- Already mentioned, but yes, the space and land battles.
- As amusing as this might seem, I like the Republic Gunships/ troop carriers.

Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

Mr favorite villain from the prequels was Grevious and Vader/Anakin in episode 3.

Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

the lightsabre fights were far superior to the original trilogy and I thought it cool the way you learnt more about Palpatine

also loved the battle droids - roger roger smile

I liked that I could prove to my mom that Vader wasn't ALL bad; so she would stop nagging me about liking the villians...of course, I prefer 100% evil Vader...

Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

i like how peeps in the prequals were a bit more self-expresive. Like in IV, V, VI every one wore blacks and whites with a few exceptions. While people in I, II, III wore like all these super colorful outfits even though most of them are ugly. tongue The action scenes were my favorite though. smile

Paparazzi's are everywhere, with those famous people intact, they could be a nice buckshot. Christoper Lee is a very famous man to resist.

Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

I don't like the fact that Boba Fett is just a clone/cheap imitation of someone else. With that being said I overall like the fact that there's more politics in the prequel trilogy than there was in the original trilogy. Jango Fett's armor and costuming  should've looked like the prototype Boba Fett look being an all-white ensemble. I also like Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn, Darth Maul, the late, great Christopher Lee as Count Dooku, Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu (even though he cuts off Jango Fett's head), Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and Ian McDiarmid as The Emperor. Way too much computer generated crap on the screen so you can't really focus on anything which is pretty annoying. All in all I'd say that the prequel trilogy is alright. It is what it is. It'll of course never beat the original trilogy.

Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

Temuera Morrison was AWESOME as Jango and the clones. Perfectly fit what I would think of when someone says Mando. Fit the role very well as Boba Fett's father and played the character better than anyone else I can think of. If they had cast Anakin half as well as Jango then some of the II and III scenes would not have been so uncomfortable.

Re: What DID You like about Ep. I-III?

Episode I was "okay" but I think II and III were better because well III is the return of DARTH VADER!!!Episode II it's just so
Awesome because Temuera Morrison's voice is so awesome and he is an awesome man.NO IM NOT GAY!!!!!
