Re: Mutant Hunt - RPG

The pain endured for what seemed like eternity.  The scientist seemed to be an evil version of the Energizer Bunny, and never tired of torturing his experiment.  He taught Blackout new meanings to pain, and how to cause the most pain and agony with a single stroke, and where the pain centres of the body were located.  Blackout's defences had crumbled long since, and he hung from his restraints limply, without hope.  He had no idea how long he had been subjected to this torment.  It could have been hours, or simply minutes of the most excruciating pain he had ever known.  Finally, miraculously, it stopped.  The scientist, Operator, he had been called, stepped back, a satisfied smile on his face, and the glowing rod held loosley in his hands.

"There.  Have you come to your senses yet, Derek?"

Blackout just nodded numbly.

"Good.  I have a special assignment for you."  He left the room momentarily, and came back, holding a strange metal circlet.  He placed it around Blackout's neck gingerly, and fastened the grips, which seemed to fuse together.  "This is a Deathlock choker.  If you disobey my orders, I will detonate the exlosives inside of it, and it will incinerate you in two seconds.  If you try to take it off or disable it, it wil detonate automatically."

"Wha-what a-am I g-going to use it f-for?"

"You won't use it.  You see, mutants like you are evil, and tainted.  Now, you've come around to the light, by now.  Your mission, whether you wish to accept it or not, is to aid the commandos that have been inserted to deal with your...problem...So go on.  Your blades have been placed in the scabbards, and are awaiting you in the helicopter."

The restraints unfastened, and Blackout stumbled forward.  He walked like a zombie to the chopper, each step regaining more and more strength as the pain began to wear off.  Tinman escorted him, and the two soon watched as the city began to fly by beneath them as the Blackhawk took them to where the one designated as Noah and Daniel Fortesque were located.  Blackout didn't care anymore; to him, life was like those dreams, where no matter what you tried to do, you always wound up doing something else completely.  He simply decided to stop fighting.

----

Tinman had seen so much hatred when Operator "worked" on Blackout.  In fact, it seemed to go against everything that the humans were standing for; peace and fair and humane treatment.  If the public knew if this was how they were treating prisoners of the war, there would be a massive conflict.  If the mutants got ahold of Tinman's recordings, well, things would go sour from there.  Hmmm....  Maybe there was a way to stop this madness after all.  If androids could smile, he would be grinning ear to ear.

Adrian watched as Leeds worked his magic again.

"Now back to Seaworld.  We still have some muties over there.  We never leave a man behind.  Let's go."

Re: Mutant Hunt - RPG

There was a sudden emptiness on Hathorne's heart before every attack, but the sweeps had to stop its evil how
the miltary just picks up random mutant and kills them. There was something Hathorne didn't like genacide and
now that hes apart of the mutant community he also didn't like to see people in pain.Hank began to rev the engine, he then stuck his head out of the side window and said" ready", Hathorne replied in a serious tone"lets go!".
The car zoomed down the open layne there was a building, it was the building were the miltary's armory. The only reason Hathorne was interested in that building was for the military would lose weapon and he needed a refill any way.It was crunch time the car was getting closer to the building and with second Hathore was getting more and more excited.Hatorne grabed onto the handle bar on top of roof of the car.The wheels began to screech as Hank took a hard turn.Hathorne let go of the handleand the speed flung Hathorne into three summer salts.Crash echoded through out the building, Hathorne landed in a crouche with his head down.
The guards in the building were in aww as they gazed apon this giant of a man.Hathorne looked up and he was suround by abunch of frightened men it didn't matter he had one goal and that was to get the ammo and the weapon as fast as he could and take down as many people doing it.As hathorne reached into his inside coat pocket  it was like all the guards cocked there guns at once, Hathorne let out a big grin as he pulled out the cigerett.Almost every guard in the room let out a big sigh but, Hathorne put the cigerett to his mouth and fell to his back.He whiped out his dual beretts and began to fire rapidly all around him.
From the outside Hank and carey were wondering why it was so silent Hathorne is always a shoot first ask questions latere type of guy.A couple of seconds later sound of the car radio was over powered by the sound of shots being fired. From inside the twenty guys that were there had been reduced to twelve Hathorne took a couple bullets but nothing he couldn't handle.Hathorne sat up and through down the beretts pulled the shotgun out from his back cocked it and let multiple shots off.

Re: Mutant Hunt - RPG

Greg presses his hand to the side of his helmet, he was watching the exchange between Jasmine and Fort. He was in the shadows, speaking to the Advisor, Bauer had went to find the SEAL and his companions. "Go." The Advisor said, and Greg nodded out of habit, despite the fact that she couldn't see him. "Yes ma'am."

Greg began to step from the shadows, his grim determination evident in his movement. He stepped across the asphalt, making his way towards the mutant. He reached down to his side where his pistol was, and opened the holster. He stopped, standing to the left of the mutant and pulled the gun from it's holster, leveling it at her temple. His thumb raised to click the safety off, and upon hearing the sound, she began to turn, her eyes widening. Greg pulled the trigger, the retort of a single shot echoing throughout the amusement park.

Jasmine's head jerked backwards, the caliber of the bullet was not high enough to shatter the skull. Her body spun around, and for a moment she seemed to stare at Fort, the look of shock still on her face. It seemed as if she were trying to keep her balance, trying to stand for a moment longer, as if it would keep her alive, then gravity took effect and she collapsed, her body hitting the ground with a sick thud. Her eyes had seemed to glaze over, and she stared blankly into the distance.

Greg clicked the saftery back to the safe position, and replaced his pistol.

Re: Mutant Hunt - RPG

Adrian and the others just made it to the entrance of the Seaworld main plaza.  A shot rang out through the plaza.  Adrian pulled out the M4 sprinted to the plaza followed by Skyler.  But he wished he hadn't been so eager to meet the challenge.  Jasmine lay on the ground blood pooling on the sidewalk out of a hole in her head.  She was dead.  Adrian's heart felt like a dead weight.  He saw the shooter, one of the commandos holster a pistol.  Adrian let the rage building inside him flow to his core.  He tok all the emotion and forced it into a gigantic blast.  Adrian was knocked off of his feet as the blast left his hands and traveled straight to Greg as he turned.  It was all he had time for.  The blast hit the commando square in the chest and flung him across the plaza into a wall.  He slumped to the ground and groggily got to his feet.  He turned and saw the indent in the wall.

"That one hurt mutie.  Let me return the favor."  He pulled out a bowie and Adrian pulled out his KA-Bar.  He prepared for the oncoming attack.  Skyer, James, and Arista went to engage the others.

Re: Mutant Hunt - RPG

Blackout arrived on scene just in time to see Adrian and a commando close in on each other, knives drawn.  An audio receiver set near his ear, courtesy of Operator crackled to life, telling him to eliminate the mutant threat.  Tears pooled under his glowing eyes as his orders were relayed.  But there was no way he could fight it; his spirit had been broken.  As Operator called the commandos to let them know of Blackout's change of heart, Blackout drained the light from the region around him, and moved in, twin blades already in hand.  He was about to attack Adrian when an other of the commandos gestured at him not to do so.  Confused he hesitated, long enough to spot other familiar mutants.

They were threats, according to Operator.  He didn't want to kill them though.  A sudden electrical shock through his body alerted him to his present situation, and his resolve hardened.  He began to creep around towards Skyler, keeping to the shadows, and making it decidedly difficult to spot him.

Re: Mutant Hunt - RPG

Greg punched the ex-SEAL in the gut, hard. The movement caused a sharp pain in his chest, the mutant had apparently broken some of his ribs, the pain began to dull as his suit automatically administered morphine. Adrian slashed with his KA-BAR, and Greg blocked with his forearm, the knife blade sliding harmlessly across the metal plate. Adrian slashed again, this time cutting into Greg's bicep. Greg swung at Adrian, but Adrian sidestepped, and counter attacked.

Re: Mutant Hunt - RPG

Adrian sidestepped and lashed out at Greg who again brought his bracer out to block the shot.  Greg tried a low swipe which Adrian easily dodged but stepped right into Greg's flying fist which connected right on Adrian's brow.  Adrian rolled back and put his hand to his forehead and it came back bloody.  Very bloody.  He could feel the blood running down his forehead and into his vision.  Not good.  Greg saw this and punched Adrian in the gut.  But Adrian rolled with it and grabbed Greg's hand and used both of their momentum to fling Greg onto the ground.  He landed with a whoosh as the breath left his lungs.  Adrian was on top of him trying to ram his head into the pavement.
He was quickly thrown off and spied and filter for one of the exhibits.  He sprinted over to that and quickly smashed it feeling the electrical currents run through his hand.  The cut on his forehead healed but before anything else could happen Greg tackled him from behind.  Adrian managed to roll and escape a choke.  They were both up knives in hand circling each other.
