Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

"I'm D's second in command, so to speak. I never claimed to be coven leader. I believe it would be in all of our best interests if we kept our civility."

"Indeed, Ashryn, it would be wise to keep our civility. As a lily-livered sadistic child-killing wife-beating bloodsucking parasite would know. " D said, smiling at Crispin as he walked into the conversation.

"Right..."

"Now, please Crispin, inform me of this 'demon' everyone has been talking about. I know nothing about it, except that it seems to prefer little puppies than the Damned. And I would like to know starting now."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Nikoli snarled at the 'Puppies of the damned' remark. D looked over. "Oh it seems I may have offended one of your kind."

"Know this, if it were not for Crispin's comand I would rip your arms from their sockets and beat you to death with them. Easily."

"Ha, you wouldn't be able to move. Continue, Crispin."

And D turned around to learn more.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

With Paul still watching Joo-Eun, Daphne moved to stand beside Nathaniel. "This could go on for a while," she whispered to him. She took a moment to look Nathaniel over in his humanoid wolf form. It comforted her to see that he had not tried to revert to his human form. He did not appear disgusted with his shift as she suspected he might.

She moved her hand to his and intertwined their fingers. He looked at her for a moment and she saw that his eyes were no longer bi-coloured, they were gold. She was intrigued and wanted to hold his face in her hands to look deeper into those eyes but now was not the time.

Daphne turned her attention back to Crispin and waited for him to speak.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

"Well, then D, as you may know, there have been a few paranormal murders as of late, and while most have been werewolves, many of your kind have been killed as well. Remember Tiffany? Felled by that demon's hand."

"And I see you successfully killed the demon, so what's the problem now?"

"Something else, another demon, was controlling the Balor Lord. Telling it what to do. Leading it to targets. Imagine. Something strong enough to command a Balor Lord. Imagine how big a threat that would be to both our kinds."

"I'm confident in my coven's powers, Crispin. Are you saying your pack is incapable of defeating a single adversary?"

"Oh, don't get so high and mighty with me D. We both know your kind isnt as ivulnerable as you like to think you are. Remeber the time in Singapore with the grand mirror that turned dozens of your kind itno soot?"

"A ruddy giant mirror that reflected some fake sunlight onto my troops is not only dishonorable and cowardly, but hardly as threatening as some heretofore unseen by me demon that you claim is gonna kill us all."

"Are you saying you don't believe the demon exists?"

"I'm saying it seems to be getting a reputation that can never be lived up to. Fetch me some proof, Fido."

"My last girlfriend.  Fort and Griggs saw it.  But she had run away because the Balor Lord had stolen her powers.  She runs off and when I do find her she looks at me and tells me to run.  Then something snapped her neck.  And something told me to run as well.  But this was a mocking thing.  The wolf in me went mad and ran off.  The Balor Lord doesn't do that to me.  My hackles just raise when he's around.  It was something much bigger.  It ain't your material proof but you can take my word as a werewolf."

"Well then I can't count on much pup."

Paul flashed him a smile.  "At least we possess a shred of honour.  Unlike you kin."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Ashryn was growing weary of these immature exchanges between the vampires and the werewolves. The insults were, in his opinion, beneath them all.

"Sigh...the us versus them thing is getting old. Are we not all on the same side? The night Tiffany was killed, I'd spoken with a man who'd answered her phone when I called. I may be old, but I remember that voice clearly."

He scans the group and locks eyes with the half were with gold-colored eyes. "It was you wasn't it? You answered the phone that night." He looked at D.

"Forgive me if I speak out of turn, D. I believe the werewolves speak the truth. I knew Tiffany well. I was the one who taught her how to survive as a vampire, remember? She wouldn't have engaged a werewolf directly for no reason. If she'd had a problem with any of them, I would've known about it. I believe they speak the truth about this demon."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Joo-Eun moved to stand near Ashryn and ignored Paul's low growl of warning, "I agree with Ashryn. If there is a terrible demon on the loose we may as well cause a temporary truce. As they say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. In this case it sounds like the enemy is the demon to both their conclave and our coven."

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

"There now, I guess your kind isn't all bad, D. These two seem to be thinking clearly." Crispin said to his old acquaintance. "What do you say? Let bygones be bygones?"

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

D was regretting this, considering his heritage and the way he was brought up. Miserably, he spoke.

"For now."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Daphne felt the tension leave he air to some degree. Now it was time to discuss terms. It was really down to Crispin and D to discuss but Daphne felt that they should stay in case the alpha was unexpectedly attacked.

Daphne moved closer to Nathaniel and lent up to whisper in his ear, "I think we should stick around for the moment. Will you know if the other demon is approaching?"

Nathaniel leaned down so his face was close to hers. "I don't know what the rules are around this other demon, he's a loose canon."

"Perhaps Loxley is the key to finding out more," Daphne suggested.

Nathaniel bristled, "I'd prefer you stay away from him, he's dangerous Daphne."

Daphne reached up to touch his white fur covered face, "I would be careful."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Joo-Eun looked to Ashryn, "Is it time to leave?"

She felt uncomfortable, semi truce or not. There was too much history between the vampires and werewolves to simply shake hands and forget the past.

-

Valiant had remained silent through the whole exchange. He was not part of D's coven but the werewolves didn't know that. He was still free to hunt their kind, though he suspected that it would be better for his health if he didn't. He wasn't too keen to have both werewolves and vampires wanting him dead.

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

"Is it time to leave?"

Ashryn stood his ground and kept his eyes on the surrounding werewolves. He was deep in thought, contemplating the events that led to this moment.

"No, Joo-Eun, I think now more than ever our coven needs to present a united front. This demon has had an advantage in hiding behind our war. If we all unite, he loses his smokescreen, and he'll be forced to play a more proactive role in these events. He may be more likely to slip up."

Ashryn hoped he sounded more confident than he felt.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Loxley twitched and groaned in his sleep. His mind was troubled and filled with images that disturbed him. Suddenly he awoke. Taking in a deep breath Loxley got to his feet. Something compelled him to go to the forest. He didn’t understand the need but he went. It was almost as though he was being guided by an unseen force.

-

Anita stood some distance off listening to the exchange between her father and D. She kept her distance as she had a feeling that something else loomed. It was like the calm before the storm. She held the rocket launcher with a white knuckled grip. She was ready for whatever came next.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

After having Crispin explain everything, D seemed slightly interested.

"So, do we have a plan for this demon?" he asked.

"A plan?"

"Well, yes. You can't just decide to fight something without a plan, I'm sure even your canine intelligence understands that."

"You forget, Lestat, you're in on this too. So, you'd have to be a part of the plan."

"Ah, very well. But, first do tell me why your daughter is just standing behind those trees holding a rocket launcher with a grip like there's no tomorrow?"

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

"Oh, Anita? She's...ah...she's got my blood in her veins, that's really all the explanation I can muster up."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

“She’s standing there because he comes,” said Loxley. His voice was deep and his eyes had lost their red lustre. “I know because he controls me.”

The vampires immediately hissed, “A trap!” D snarled.

“Indeed, one for us all.” Loxley said solemnly before he began to shake violently. He threw his hands up in the air and started to scream. Smoke started rising from his body, Loxley dropped to his knees, the smoke turned thicker and more ash like. “God help me!” Loxley rasped as if the words were torn out of his mouth.

The smoke started to form a shape. It built into a slim figure and solidified. It’s unnaturally round and large head grinned at them maniacally. The Master Demon stood before them all. “Greetings everyone, I’m so glad you could make it.” The demon swung his cane as he walked, a permanent grimace was plastered on his face. “I’m so looking forward to more screaming.” He poked Loxley with his cane, “This one is such a pitiful example of what I can do.”

“What do you want?” Crispin demanded.

The demon leant on his cane and shifted forward like a cobra about to strike. His skins seemed almost too tight over his skeletal body. “I’ve come for your very souls. I want the essence that makes you supernatural. And what I want, I get.”

The demon raised his hand and a woman magically zoomed from the trees and into the demon’s outstretched bony hand. “Be calm my child,” he soothed but his deep set red eyes betrayed his true intent, “It will be over quickly.” The demon raised his hand to the top of her head and the vampires saw that it was Audrey that he held in his power.

“Let her go!” Ashryn shouted as he stepped forward.

The demon grinned lecherously but did not let go of his prey. His fingernails grew and sharpened enough to penetrate the skin on Audrey’s scalp blood trickled from the wounds as Audrey because pulsating in the demon’s grasp. The groaned terribly as if her mouth were sealed and she could not open it to scream.

The vampires and werewolves watched in horror as Audrey’s body grew taught, her skin shrivelling like a prune and then she turned to a pile of dust.

The demon turned to look at them, “Mm, tastes just like chicken.”

“You bastard!” John yelled and opened fire on the demon. The bullets hit the impossibly thin body but all the demon did was laugh as puffs of smoky ash resulted in the bullets.

“Your bullets cannot harm me, Halfling.” The demon told. He eyed them all with is scarlet irises, “Try your hardest but you will not dispatch me.”

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Joo-Eun had her sword in hand the moment the demon attacked Audrey. She looked at Ashryn, “How do we fight something that shifts to ash and smoke when attacked?”

Ashryn shrugged, “We may actually be hurting it.”

“No,” Valiant told. “I don’t think it is hurting it. We can try swords but I don’t know if they’ll be anymore effective.”

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

D pulled out his katana from his back, just to join in the moment.

"So, who goes first?"

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Anita aimed the rocket launcher at the Master Demon and prepared to fire. But a group of vampires moved in on the demon with swords raised. Normally Anita would not have hesitated in taking out the vampires but she wanted to help keep the peace, plus her father would never live it down.

Nearby she saw Karen being attended to by Griggs. It seemed that Karen had suffered a broken arm. Griggs was helping her make a sling. "Griggs, go move those vampires. I wanna shoot that demon."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Fort began too loose control on his current form, and at a bad time. He couldn't maintain the golden eyed form for long and he began to loose a little musle mass and his gold eyes withdrew into his skull. His blue and green eyes replaced them.

He was still in hybrid form when he raised Nasher and charged at the Master Demon. In human form, he would have known better than to mindlessly attack a demon he knew nothing about, but his half wolf form made him lust for more carnage.

He cleared the several yards to the demon easily and swung Nasher in a great arc. It passed through the demon harmlessly as ash puffed up from the wound that was supposed to appear but the wound then faded. Fort stepped back wide eyed but it was too late. The demon was already sending him flying through the forest with a flick of his wrist.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Paul was ready for the demon this time.  Once everyone had their shots but to no avail Paul spoke.

"You.  Killed.  Her."

The demon regarded Paul without even looking at him.  "Of course I did Paulie.  She was marked."

Paul roared and did what everyone else did.  He charged. And the same result.  The demon only laughed.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Fort stood and shook his head. It hurt now. He slowly was changed back into human form, his shredded combat pants the only clothing that clung to him. He walked back to the group yet did not put Nasher away.

"This is impossible..." he muttered to Daphne and Crispin.
