Re: RPG-Superhumans

"Captain Kagi."

"Yes, sir?"

"Execute Order 66."

"It will be done."

The Captain walked over to a soldier next to a strange machine.

"Power it up."

"Yes, sir!"

The generator started to hum. The bar seemed to disintegrate. Not only did the bar start to vanish, but everyone else alongside it, in and out. The machine grew louder, more violently, while the bar and everyone around it... disappeared. Then, silence. While to the rest of the world, Happy Harry's bar and everyone right in its vicinity no longer appeared, it was still there. The plot of land was now cut off from the rest of the world, invisible to the aided and naked eye. While people outside the area saw nothing, those inside saw everything going on around them. They had been cut off in a bubble. A bubble which could not easily be defeated, except by two things: the generator being destroyed, or a super with a mass amount of power, which was easily measured that almost none of the supers at the bar had enough power to get out.

"Yes, Altair?"

"They have been taken care of, my master."

"Good. Come on home, Lord Altair."

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"HOLD DARKLIGHT!" Chromium yelled and he burst into the sky and stopped between Darklight and Void.

"Is his story true?" He asked Darklight as he pointed back at Void.

(Fett_II....?....that came outta no where? Wheres the reasoning behind that? How is that even possible? Why did an assassin order want to do that? Did you HAVE to interrupt the new confrontation with something as random as that? I think we need a little more explanation...)

Flame stood up, he was unsteady, apparently, it was worse then he thought. He put his hand against the wall to stady himself. He felt able to use his powers now, if not phisically fight. He held a ball of fire in his hand, looking over at Void, his tail swished slowly.
This bubble was a problem. He knew he could destroy it, but he would kill every one around him, and himself in the process.

Jack awoke with a now slightly taller girl who appeared his age standing in front of him.  And he noticed Void was in the street with Darklight in his civ form that he recognized from some years ago.  He was about to go down when the girl stopped him.

"Mortal I have need of your help."

"But my friend is down there at that maniac's mercy!  His apparent death was the whole reason I was possessed by-"

"The offer I am about to give you has much to do with your friend..."

(Not like this. An assassine order randomly coming with this huge unbreakable bubble is kinda drastic.)

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Oni lay still uncosncious on the floor near Harry's . His eyelids flitted open, expecting to see nothing but darkness. What he saw was the wreckage of his bar, and his friends and enemies huddled around confused as Darklight and Voidhunter battled. Normally, Oni would be upset about the chaos and hungry for knowing the reason of the fracas, but at that moment, the site of carnage and destruction was a miracle. How had he escaped? Oni wasn't sure. He shakily got to his feet, but toppled to the ground, still weak. Only instead of hitting the ground, his head seemed to bump into an invisible wall.

"What...?" Oni asked aloud. Jericho, hearing his comrade's voice came over to help Oni up.

"What happened man? Could'a sworn Harry ate you alive or something."

"He...did. I'm not sure how I came back. It must be...maybe a...a sign from God, ya think? What happened to Harry? And why did I just hit my head on empty air?"

"Oh, Harry's, uh, a piece of paper now. We beat him. We're not really sure about the bubble we're in, though."

------------------------------------------------------------------

Harry scurried around in their invisible prison, less than pleased about being a rat. Still, it was better than being a rock. Harry was thankful that Vandal's ability of mind control could be extented to full on possesion, but why such a flimsy body? Harry would have to wait for a better one to open up.

Flame had regained his strength, he stood at his normal hight, and what had been small fire in his hand was now much larger and brighter then it had been. Oni was back, but that wasnt important right now. He stood, watching, and waiting for somthing to happen.

Vandal smiled as she saw the rat. She knew who it was. Picking up a large chunk of debris from the building, she hurled and the rat and smiled as she heard a satisfying squish.

Vandal looked at those around her. "If you want a true answer about Void and Darklight's past you could just ask me."

Haze was feeling somewhat drained but watched the fight. She wasn't going to part these to combatants, it was too hard to know who was telling the truth.

She looked at Flame, How are you fairing?

((By the way if you do want Harry to live, you can pretend it was something else that went squish tongue ))

Better, you? Flame killed the fire, and stood with his arms crossed, staring at the bubble.

Tired, the last time I slept was when Vandal knocked me unconscious. Haze voiced directly to Flame.

Haze turned to look at Chromium. She had no idea if she could communicate with him now that he wasn't touching her. She decided to try later. For now she focussed on the upcoming fight.

Do you think we should vacate the area? Haze asked Flame, she had a feeling that this fight would be big.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Sounds like a good idea, we need to find a way to get out of this bubble thing, let Frost and jack and all them take care of Void. I still have this cloaking thingy I might be able to make us invisible with out shorting the thing out. He looked at the cloaking device he had on, and hoped the thing was reliable.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Desdemona waiting for Jack to concentrate on her and then she told him her offer. "I am Desdemona. I am a soul eater. I retrieve evil souls and return them to the underworld." Desdemona pointed at Void, "That one is my last to capture. He is a tainted soul. The accident not only changed him physically but it also deemed his soul impure."

Jack looked a little skeptical, "This sounds a bit far-fetched."

"You were just possessed by touching a sword." Desdemona reminded him.

"Oh yeah," Jack said scratching his head.

"Although Magnus is gone, he has left residual powers in you. These powers won't be as strong as they were previously but use them wisely." Desdemona instructed raising a finger of caution.

Jack rubbed his hands together, "Finally some powers of my own that are more impressive than just healing."

Desdemona waited patiently. "Now that you have this power I want you to assist me in taking Void's soul. His will be the last soul I collect."

"What happens after that?" Jack asked.

Desdemona shrugged, it was a mortal characteristic but one she often copied. "I get a holiday. I can become human and live out a human life time and then return to being a soul eater at my death."

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Acero walked slowly up to the edge of the bubble once again in his human form. Quite honestly he wasn't too fond of prisons. They irritated him.

He slowly turned his head to the side, Michael Myers style, as if considering the forcefield with apathetic curiosity. His mask was no worse for the wear after Jericho's saving shot other than a gaping hole just under the left eye socket.

Acero suddenly began throwing violent punches at the bubble once again shifting into his steel form as he did so. Other heroes usually rolled their eyes when the "big one" on the team resorted to brute strength, but doing so rarely failed to yield results. After a minute or so Acero decided these efforts were futile and turned away to contemplate a new strategy.

"If you want a true answer about Void and Darklight's past you could just ask me," Vandal was saying.

Acero approached her and spread his hands out to his sides slowly. It was obvious what he was asking.

"Tell... me..."

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Haze looked at the bubble. She closed her eyes for a moment, concentrating. Then she lashed out at the bubble with such force that a hole was ripped into it.

She took a deep breath and took a step outside.

Vandal smiled at Acero, "To put it simply, they're both psycho."

Flame saw the hole ripped in the bubble. He sprinted for it, hoping it didnt start to close.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

The hole let in the sound of incoming sirens. Vandal levitated high enough to see what was going on. "Here come the cops."

"Crap," Oni grumbled.

Twenty Police vehicles headed into the facility. The chaos between the battling supers had not gone unnoticed. Many neighbours had called in the disturbance. Along with Starbright's family, who knew that their daughter's body was near Happy Harry's Bar.

The hole in the bubble was adequate for the line of police cars to enter. They formed a barricade and the police, in riot gear, prepared to use as much force as necessary. They spotted Darklight and immediately assumed that Void was the enemy. They aimed their guns and fired.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Flame had retreated, the police were here. That was bad. They opened fire on Void. Six of them saw Flame, and recognizing him from before opened fire.

Haze looked at Chromium. "This isn't going to go well for us. The Police don't know which side we're on."

"Perhaps we should get out of here." Chromium suggested.

"I don't think we can, the Police are blocking the only exit." Haze told.

"Can you make another exit?" Chromium asked.

Haze shook her head, "Not for a while, that took a lot of energy out of me."

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Flame ducked behind a building, but not before taking a shot in the arm. He peeked around the wall, ad activated the cloaking device. Haze, I can get you and possibly Chromium out of here. I'm not sure if this can cloak everyone, but, its worth a shot.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"Chromium, Flame says he might be able to get us out." Haze told.

As shots fired their way, Chromium melded to her once again. "It might be best for now. We don't want to shoot any Police."

The pair moved as one, bullets were deflected off Chromium's metal skin. They landed next to Flame. "So which way is the best out?" Haze asked.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Void easily evaded the cops' bullets, and did his best to dodge the bolts of light from the enraged and infuriated Darklight.  He nimbly shadowstepped from the rooftop to the streets just inside the bubble that enclosed the bar.  Seeing a pool of shadow outside, he shadowstepped right through, the bubble not even slowing his transport.  His vengeance on Darklight had been slowed down, but it would still come into fruition.  He still held the trump card...Void chuckled to himself, and then shadowstepped away moving as far away as he could from that dreadful bar...

---------------

Darklight watched Void disappear outside of the bubble around the bar.  He had escaped his judgment far too many times, and he had revealed Darklight's secret.  He would PAY for that!  If he had to hunt Void to the ends of the Earth. the ends of time, he would pay.  He flew off across the sky, coming to a hovering rest before the shimmering bubble.  This thing stood between him and his prey.  So he decided to eliminate it.  It was dark out, and he had full power.  So he unloaded it all in one powerful continuous blast at the bubble, hoping to breach it' shields.  He would sit here for as long as it took for the shields to fail...and then Void would die...painfully....very painfully

Due to maintenance problems, the light at the end of the tunnel will not be in operation today.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Flame looked at them. "Right through the hole you made." He vanished. And placed one of his hands on each of them. The cloaker did not short out. "Ok, you ready?"
