Re: RPG-Superhumans

((I HAVE RETURNED! Yea ill take over Haze/Chromium Mel))
This time Chromium spoke to Flame his metallic deep voice could be heard normally, coming from Haze, but you couldn't tell exactly where.

"Flame, despite any differences we may have, I know you to be no fool. We must rid ourselves of this super immediatly. All our lives are at stake. Do you know where or how we could dispose of him? I was thinking the sun. I would separate from Haze, she could not breathe in space, and I would fly to the sun (or as close as possible so I dont immediatly liquify) and throw him in. Any other suggestions?"

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"Yeah, let him change back into a human form. I'll go in there, step on his neck, and shoot him in the head, because that's how I roll. Does that sound good?"

"This IS my signature."

Re: RPG-Superhumans

((Guys, im so sorry, but can you always put the name of your character in your posts? Theres so many im forgetting everyones characters))

"Well...not exactly what I had in mind... Can anyone else fly into space as well? I may need assistance." Chromium said to the group

Re: RPG-Superhumans

(But i could also you Timeshifting. While Vals guy flew me up to space, he could then throw me at at the sun (with harry), i could stop time intill we got close enough, then unstop time, and hes dead)

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Voidhunter detached himself from Oni's form, regaining the consistancy of a human, rather than a shadow.  He sat there, limply floating in the dimension of darkness.  He had learned much by being Oni's shadow for a while.  Harry was a nihilistic shapeshifter, and had killed Darklight's former girlfriend, for one. Oh,that was rich!  Void had nearly burst out in gleeful laughter after hearing that.  But Harry wasn't perfect.  He had made the mistake of banishing Oni and Void to Void's home dimension.  Which was fine, if it weren't for Void's other current guest.  He had to get Oni out of there, and fast.  Void took his natural form of darkness, and taking Oni's form, shadowstepped to the shadows outside of Happy Harry's Bar.  He made sure no one was nearby, and then carefully deposited Oni's limp form on a splintered table in the bar.  He then returned to the realm of shadows.  He had to prepare his guest for presentation, and quicky.  And maybe then he would be able do something about rescuing Harry in the ensuing confusion.  He had, after all, liked the man's style....

Re: RPG-Superhumans

After floating for so long in the darkness, Oni had fallen into a deep sleep. So this was how it ended for Oni. Hardly the Julius Caesar-esque final note Oni had always envisioned himself going out on. Heck, Oni would even settle on a swansong more along the lines of Scarface would be favorable to this lonesome death surrounded by emptiness. Was this the legacy he'd leave behind? A demolished bar filled with dead and damaged super-villains? Shameful. What would his mother think if she knew--

What would his mother think? Oni had never thought of that before. He was super-villain, a murderer, a despot...was he also a disgrace?

--------------------------------------------------------

In the real world, Harry had been duped and compressed into a small stone, with al the abilities of a paperwieght. It couldn't end this way, not like this!

Harry knew what to do. Using the powers of Vandal, he began to try and find another body to possess. The best he could find was a rat. Better than nothing.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"I got a bad feeling about this." Flame muttered, looking at the paper-weight that was now Happy Harry. He looked at it, and it ignited, but due to the earlier actions, the fire only lasted seconds, leaving behind a slightly smaller, charred block of paper-Harry. This had never happened, but Flame had never done anything like he had before. He was truly exausted, almost unable to stand, and definately unable to use his powers.

There.  It was done.  Now all he had to do was prep the other "heroes", and it would be finally ready; the last possible thing he could do to spite Darklight's memory...

"You havin' a little trouble there, Flamey? Need a glass of water? Here's a block of ice, hope you can get enough flame to melt it. Anybody got a glass?" Frost yelled.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Flame tried to melt the ice, just as a test, he couldent, he was to tired. What he had done earlier had left the bar in ruins, windows gone, tables reduced to piles of ash. He leaned back against the wall, breathing heavily.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Void stepped back through the darkness of his little home, dragging his "guest" behind him.  The man was a dark haired individual, who would have green eyes when he was awake.  He was wearing a black turtleneck sweater, and dark blue jeans, and he was suspended above the road by Void's tendrils.  Void shadowstepped to the outside of the bar, where everyrone had been gathering, and quickly clambered up the darkened side of the bar, and onto the hole-ridden roof of the bar.  He then extended his tendrils, and wound multiple ones around the two that held the man's wrists for additional strength.  He then waited for the people gathered on the strets to notice him standing there.  This would be fun...

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Frost felt a chill up his spine... well, more than normal anyhow. Removing his attention from the deprived Flame, he looked around nervously. Then he noticed something. The silhouette of what was probably Void was framed by the light of the moon, hovering in a corner of the bar. He was holding the silhouette of a man who was either dressed in black or a shadow like Voidhunter. Eyes wide, Frost yelled, "Dude, what the heck! Guys look!"

The group focusing on Flame's inability to flame turned their attention to where Frost was pointing. Then the thing began to move...

Luke: Your overconfidence is your weakness. Palpatine: Your faith in your friends is yours... Luke: Faith in yo mama. Palpatine: What was that?

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Void had their attention.  "Thank you very much, icey one" he thought.  Raising the limp body above his head even further, he pricked his arm, stirring him into awakening.  AS the man's green eyes, opened, and took in his surroundings, Void tightened his grip, and called out to the people gathered below in a hoarse shout; the only time he had raised his voice above a whisper.

"Look at your 'hero' now, fools!  Look upon your 'mighty savior' now!"  He laughed, and the man in his tendrils stirred slightly, his hands suddenly bursting into bright golden light, illuminating his features for all to see.  FOr those that knew his face, hey recognized him in a snap.  The others recognized his powers.  Void laughed.

"Look upon the glorious Darklight, and despair!"  His voice practically dripped sarcasm and scorn.

"You're all wondering, oh what could he possibly do now?  Kill Darklight?  He was supposed to be dead before, anyways.  The answer, is he hasn't been hurt enough yet.  He deserves every ounce of pain he gets, and more besides.  None of you don't know everything about him...You don't know his secrets..."

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Frost was confused. Darklight was dead, and now he's back. Void disappeared, and now he's back with Darklight, and all Void wanted to do was... disrepute Darklight? Doesn't seem all that "super-villain-evil-destroy-or-take-over-the-world thing that I'm used to. Frost thought. Whatever, might as well sees how this plays out...

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Flame wasnt as tired now, he raised his hand slightly. "Uh, actually, I could know his secrets if I realy cared...but I dont. I would prefer if you dont rip him in half or anything, there are ladies present, but, unfortunately I'm in no condition to stop you."

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"You're all preparing to attack me, aren't you?  I'm the big bad villain, Darklight's the great noble hero.  Has he told you about his past yet?  Any of you?  Sunburn?  Jack?  Frost?  Starbright didn't even know, all the better for her.  Allow me to explain, and fill in the gaps; he practiced blocking these memories away, and for good reason...
"It was back when he was in his teenage years. He was a bad kid.  Foul mouth, foul fist, he was the school bully.  And a repressed psychopath at heart.  His first vitcims were his very own parents.  He killed them, in cold blood.  With their own kitchen knives.  When the cops came, he claimed it was a burglar.  They couldn't find prints on the knives, so they let him go.  He went on like that for twelve years.  He was twenty seven when he had the 'accident'.  By then, he had accumulated a record of eighteen victims, all killed in various painful ways, usually the ABSOLUTE most painful way he could think of at the time.  He was a sadist.  His final victim was to be me.  That's right; me.  The big bad villain was the innocent guy about to be strangled to death by the future hero.  Ironic.
"I saw the glint in his eyes, and ran, into the nearest building.  A research centre, experimenting on focusing light to be used as a weapon.  Nick here pulled a gun, and fired at me, critically damaging the systems and machinery, adn sealing us both in that fateful room.  Then it exploded, bombarding us both with experimentl radiation and energy.  I was thrown into the shadows of the recesses of the roo, and Nick was caught right in the bright centre.  He emerged with powers of light, and decided to build a new rep with the city.  From serial killer to hero, trusted and loved by everyone.  And me, innocent victim?  Left to rot in the dark corners of the room.  I found I could transport myself through shadows, and manipulate them, like he could manipulate light.  I acepted my powers, grateful for their release.  I became one with the darkness I controlled, and became what I am today, with complete control over my essence.  Oh, I fought Darklight many times over the next few years; I was the only one who knew his secrets.  Who was I to know all this?  I was his brother.
"When I took him, a snapped his neck, paralyzing him for the time being, until you were all together to witness this.  He is healed now, as you can see.  My only regret is that Starbright couldn't have heard this before she died...So now, I leave you with a choice.  Accept back this hero of yours, who has killed his own family, and 18 others besides, and tried to kill his own brother.  If you so choose..."

Void stopped talking, and waited for their reply.

((Ummm Oni, the Magnus character doesn't really have super powers, he's more of a cursed soul possessing a sword.  I suggest instead waiting for Void to help you.  So I'm going to ignore what you posted for now and continue on as if you didn't possess me.))

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Frost spoke up, "Of course we'll take him back, dude. All of us here have a past. Look at us, heroes and villains alike, standing together waching you publicly disgrace someone who we may not all be on the same side with, but someone who we can respect, either as a challenge to be beat or friend to do the beating with, man. At least he made something of himself. We can't change what we've done, but we can try to make up for it by doing our best afterwards. While we're at it. I've killed people, too. That's how I became who I am today. I was a lot like Darklight, a kid who thought the world was against him, when my Dad, a genetic scientist, took me to Alaska.  He and I got in a fight, and in anger, I hit him over the head with a snowshoe. Seeing him on the floor, bleeding. I was scared, and ran, crashing into a table with environment-adaptable chemicals in beakers that my Dad had been working on. They cut me as they broke, and got into my bloodstream. As I landed in the snow, they took action, and now I am what I am today. It's not what we've done, but what we do with our future after we forgive ourselves. Woe, that was way too deep for me..." Frost ended, sighing...

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Chromium liquified and separated from Haze this time, he materialized right next to her however just in case. He stepped forward a bit however and faced Void.

"Release him now Void." Chromium's deep metallic voice reverberrated through everyone's ears.

"We will judge for ourselves whether or not he is a hero. I do not trust you, nor your tale of murder and lies. What good have you done? You said you accepted your powers...to use them for your own selfish purposes? How have you used them to assist the weak, helpless and innocent? Even if your tale is true, it seems to me hat Darklight is a redeemed man. We will decide whether or not to take him to the proper authorities of this city or not. No one here has ANY right to kill him upon a fanciful tale you just told."

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"My dear man, who said anything about killing him?"  Void smiled darkly, knowing no other way of smiling.

"You have no idea what you are doing.  Unleashing his mental state and his powers upon the world."

The man held in his tendrils twisted around.  "They want ME Void.  Not you.  Let me go, or I will light up this rooftop like a Christmas tree.  And that will finish what I started way back when."

"You can go ahead and take your shot, Nick ol' boy.  You won't like the results, I promise you."

Void then hurled Darklight from the bar, aiming for the building across the ways from where he stood.  Luckily, Nick was able to power up in time, generate his field of light, and catch himself in mid-air.

"That's IT Void!  I've had enough of you!"  He shot back across the sky straight for his old enemy, his power shining through the night once more.
