Topic: Impossible situaions

Ok, this is realy un star warsy but its like this some one lists one imposible situation, and we talk about how it would effect life on earth,
(well, maby it is related to SW a little cause some stuff is imposible *coughnaboocough*)
ok heres mine: Somehow all the dry land ont the planet is perpetually coverd with half a centimeter of water it flows, but but is never deeper or shallower. (indoors can be dry)

Re: Impossible situaions

no, its a discussion, just, what do you think would happen to the ecosystem, or what would change

Re: Impossible situaions

Earth would drown.  Or, all life would die as the water and smog perpetually reflected heat at each other, before the water finally evaporated and earth became mostly rainforest.  Precipitation increases like 2000%

Re: Impossible situaions

Re: Impossible situaions

More than Just Impacts.  The moon affects Tectonic movement and the tides.  Oceans would literally reshape themselves, leaving dry areas flooded and previously flooded areas drained.  The loss of the moons gravity looses the tectonic plates to do whatever they feel like, and suddenly there are earthquakes along every major fault line and every volcanoe, inactive or not, erupts simultaneuosly.

In the resulting post apocalyptic human society, there are two forms of currency, life and ammunition.

Re: Impossible situaions

What difference does the moon make in that?

All those craters on the moon, their from asteriods. Those craters are only there because the moon stopped them from hitting us.

Re: Impossible situaions

If somebody nuked the moon... I think this would cause the first problem on this topic.

Also, if somebody nuked the moon, would it have enough impact to throw it out of our orbit? are we talking total destruction or just a change due to shape and size?

Good... Bad... I'm the one with the gun.

Re: Impossible situaions
