Re: the greatest superhero of all time?

Does Dinobot from Beast Wars count as a superhero? I know he's a warrior and an incredible fighter and was rather heroic, but does he fall into the "super"hero category? If  not then my list for fave superhero (the list has changed over the last ten or so years) is
-Batman/Nightwing(tie)
-Wolverine
-Black Panther
-Lobo(occasional hero)
-Silver Surfer
-Storm/Gambit/Sunfire/Cylcops/Iceman(five way tie)
-Hawkeye
-The Young Avengers/ The Runaways(tie)
-Patriot(A Young Avenger but he needed his own spot)
-Captain America( Damn you Quesada for allowing that to go down!)
-Punisher

Not in any order. Just heroes who have been my favorite at one point in time. There were others but these were the first that came to mind.

If I was totally sane, I wouldn't be as good at my job.

Re: the greatest superhero of all time?

Mr. T has no powers (unless you count the power to pity fools tongue)

No disintegrations, No fun

I wouldn't say Dinobot counted.  From what I remember he kind of had shifting allegiances.  But like I've said before it's been awhile.  I can't remember if he turns out good in the end.

Reading this raises another point, what do you think Marvel is going to do with Cap?  Will they give in and resurrect him like they have with almost every other character.  For instance, Spidey has died what 2 or 3 times?
Green Goblin has died but he came back due to a slow healing factor.  Or do you think  they will keep him 6 feet under and have another Captain America come.  OR HAS THE CAPTAIN AMERICA LEGACY ENDED AS WE KNOW IT!

Re: the greatest superhero of all time?

Dinobot started off as a Predacon. Then switched over to the Maximals. Then when it looed like Megatron was gonna win he switched again because he wanted a piece of glory. When he died though it was after he switched over to the Maximals(yet again). He died after taking out every Predacon by himself, including Megatron, (and most of them he took out without any of his weapons) and using up his last bit of energy to destroy the Golden Discs and save the species that would become humanity.

And yeah. They probably will bring Cap back. It's gonna detract from the gravity of his death.  But most superheroes seem to have the infinite lives cheat enabled. Hawkeye died and came back recently as Ronin, though it's hinted he might be a Skrull now. Collossus died after sacrificing himself to save the rest of mutantkind from the Legacy Virus and then came back. And if memory serves correctly the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Namor, Scarlet Witch, Vision,Falcon, Doctor Doom, Bruce Banner(not the Hulk), and Thor all got killed by Onslaught in the early '90s and were resurrected. There are other examples (Hal Jordan comes to mind) I'm sure but these stick out the most.

If I was totally sane, I wouldn't be as good at my job.

Actually, Mr. T has every power. Even if he didn't, Batman has no powers.

nah he's cheap. Who wants a superhero that's basically invulnerable to everything except a measly little rock? Lame in my opinion.
