Topic: Dumb question

wen i see somthing that puzzles me, it just eats at my brain till i figure it out. sorry.

i read the FAQ on the dent in Bobas helmet. when was the last time that thing was updated? unless none of the comics count, i believe it had ZERO to do with jango.

PS: Hello! welcome ur new compadre!
if u dont like me, deal. tongue

Re: Dumb question

I'm not in charge of updating anything...thank goodness...but most of the comics count on the timeline unless it's infinities or something like that.

I'll abdicate at the drop of a hat

Re: Dumb question

Great Pic! Jango must've got that dent during one of his bounty hunting expeditions. Welcome to the boards Tholis!

Re: Dumb question

The dent is in the wrong spot though. It's too high. Besides I think Boba has his own set of armour instead of using Jango's. At least that's what I like to think wink

Re: Dumb question

its weird i saw on the boba fett ememy of the empire (sorry for anybody who hasnt read it) boba fires at Darth Vader then darth defects it and it creates the hole in bobas helmet or am i just imagining it?

Re: Dumb question

I doubt that a blaster would create the dent. What number is the comic? I'll check it out later.

Thats what I think also.
In the Boba Fett books.  Boba get's his own set of armor and does not use Jango's anymore.(But he only grabed the helmet in the first place.....)

Re: Dumb question

Boba got his dent from Vader in Enemy of the Empire. Of course Boba's going to have different armor peices. We can already see different changes here and there in the movies. In ANH there is no Mythesor skull on the shoulder armor. I also think the gloves between ESB and ROTJ are different (one has circles on the backs of the hands and the others don't). His flight suit varies between grey-blue, grey, and white I think. His jetpack changes too, the one from ROTJ is  more blue whereas the one from ESB is more green (I think?). So Boba doesn't nescesarily have to have everything from Jango's armor. He does wear Jango's armor sometimes, in the kid Boba books it shows him repainting it. But he does have other sets of armor, like in the Bounty Hunter Wars when Bossk glimpses Boba changing his helmet after the old one had been damaged.

Re: Dumb question

true very true but i dint think it was jango's armor he gets in the junior novels.

Re: Dumb question

I'm pretty sure it was. That girl and her dad the chef resized it for him so it would fit little-Boba. But I might be wrong on if it was Jango's armor or different armor, that part I read a long time ago. I do remember him painting armor though, cause I just read the beginning of Pursuit (I think? The last one that came out) last year.

Re: Dumb question

Well if it was the chef and his daughter my big question is how did they get to geonosis and find his grave? i mean jabba must have a tight thing with crew leaving that aint like on the top on the rankings and the chef is a low chef i think

Re: Dumb question

I do not think that Jango was buried in his armor.

Re: Dumb question

No, Jango wasn't buried in his armor, in Fight to Survive Boba hid the armor on a cave, and it was on Geonosis. So how the chef guy got the armor I have no idea. I know the only peice Boba actually kept out was the helmet. But I remember the chef guy saying he resized some amor. Now I have to go look it up, lol.

Ah here it is. Book 5: A New Threat: Page 25.
Boba walks into his room at Jabba's Palace, sees his  helmet on his bed, which was odd since he had left it on Slave I. Then he sees an armor suit, at first he thinks it might be Jango's, but Jango's was still too big for him, and this armor was small. So he inspected it further and found little marks of indentification (such as a little dent on the chest armor that he knew had come from someone who had shot at Jango). Then he realized, "It was Jango's body armor!"
Page 26:
Boba then tries it on. It fit nicely. It specifically mentions that the boots are his father's, though I'm not sure why. Then the girl, Ygabba, and the chef, Gab'borah, come to Boba's room. Ygabba is delighted that the armor fits. Boba questions her.
Page 27:
Ygabba says she and her dad did it, and that's why they were so interested in how tall Boba was. Ygabba asks Boba if he would be upset that she had gone into Slave I and gotten the armor for that purpose.

Though why she has free entry to Slave I, I don't know. I also don't know how they could resize it on just how tall he is. Height says nothing about the width of shoulders or hips, length of arms or legs, length or width of chest/stomach.
