I have to agree with you there.... dude. Mine came to me when I thought of something that would describe myself, and there was no room for debate. It's a perfect description.

I do not completely agree with the original meaning of mine, but it now is used to describe anything that is against an establishment. And it is the longest English word in common use.
According to Wikipedia (which is not reliable), the longest word is:

Draco, there is a swedish word with more than 160 letters... If you want to I can try and write it, but it's very hard to spell right.
The dish either has one-hundred eighty or one-hundred eighty-five letters.
