Topic: Scientists

if there are any scientists or people who are interested in science please share with me some of your theories like Blasters can they work or the Bermuda Triangle mystery. Or even something else.

I know I'm only 14 but I like to think about this stuff all the time I have a theory for the Bermuda Triangle though well magnetic pole that's it that's all it is I think I mean, it's just theory. And also blasters sure it's kinda complicated though OK let's see of course you'll need some kind of a laser transmitter and a couple of mirrors perhaps I'm still thinking on this one thuogh.

Re: Scientists

eh.. Bermuda triangle. Lots of speculation, mostly I think maybe it's just a bad spot due to other conditions: weather, currents, and the like.

For example: I live in a spot that gets FREAKILY different weather from downtown Denver, 40 miles north. Plus or minus a few foothills and about 1000 ft altitude, we're not that much different from them. Even areas 10-20 miles east of us get the same weather as Denver.
We'll have freak thunderstorms that never get reported, a foot more snow, or not a drop of rain while they get pounded.
The Colorado school of Mines has even done research on why we get such weird weather.
So, are we in some freaky Oh-mi-gosh there's a magnetic field afoot???
No, I think it's just the way the topography influences the weather.
Not everything has to have a fantastic out-of-this-world explaination.

What about the Dragon Triangle in the east?

Re: Scientists

What about Cryptids (Hidden animals) like Nessie, Bigfoot and Thylacines?

Re: Scientists

As far as blasters go this as far along as we are right now. http://www.military.com/soldiertech/0,1 … BL,00.html
Not very practical as for rail guns they are as big as the main guns on a battle ship.
Science will never believe in Bigfoot until they have a specimen, no bodies have been found in the wild so therefore they don't exist, wait no bear carcases have been found in the wild that have died from natural causes so from a scientific point of view they don't exist either right.  As for the Bermuda triangle their are several theories from Aliens to black holes, but the facts are this it is known to have large deposits of methane gas frozen under ground and their are faults that run under the Caribbean so if their is a slight shift then the frozen methane hits the warm tropical waters releasing the gas into the water, if a ship were to be sailing over were the gas was heading to the surface it would lose buoyancy and sink very rapidly. When methane is in the atmosphere plane engines stall out because the air fuel mixture is out of proportion.

Re: Scientists

I was JUST about to say that about the Triangle, Wizard, but you beat me to it!

Re: Scientists

I believe the universe is going to start collapsing back in on itself.. instead of stretching infinitely outward as it is now.

As for Bigfoot and the others, I am actually afraid to research them. Not because I'm afraid of what i will find, but who I will find. Those conspiricy theorists are nutbags. There was one on an old forum of mine, and he tried to convince us that aliens were abducting cows near Utah... and that there were crop circles apearing.

Oh and for those of you who find this type of thing interesting, we aren't that far from creating a working lightsaber. Not one that you could duel with... but a portable laser emitting tool for cutting open metal doors or quickly carving a path through rough terrain.

Good... Bad... I'm the one with the gun.

Re: Scientists

this isn't about conspiracies it's about scientific facts, there is a huge difference.

Bigfoot I don't know but Dragons exist they were probably evolutions from the dinosaurs but they died out quickly the environment was changing and they could not properly adapt to it.
Atlantis Myth? probably not. It was probably a great civilization that was destroyed in the middle of war probably when one of the empires was flourishing and then sank under the water. But, the whole idea of mermaids and mermen that's the myth part.

Re: Scientists

"Conspiracy Theorists" was a general term. Bigfoot, Atlantis, the Bermuda Triangle, and nearly everything else that has been discusted here was also talked of in the aforementioned topic.

Re: Scientists

I'm with Draco on this one. I was going to find that same thread and link to it, but he'd already done it.

Off topic, and expressing my opinion. But evolution is complete bull$#!+

Re: Scientists

That is not completely off topic, but I do wonder the reason for you quoting Fett3393. I do, however, agree with you.

He said: "Dragons exist they were probably evolutions from the dinosaurs but they died out quickly the environment was changing and they could not properly adapt to it." That's why I expressed my opinion.

Re: Scientists

Evolution is a pure fact. How is it that Raptors grew more birdlike over the years eventually causing the Archaeopterix to come to the scene? not evererything just poofed ang came to being it had to be created somehow, and don't say some bird got together with another bird cuz Archaeopterix was the first bird.

Re: Scientists

I apologize Revan. I do not believe in the evolution of humans.

Re: Scientists

Actually, Everything did just apear. God spoke the earth, and everything in it, into existance. He is God, He can do anything. You know it would do you some good to read the Bible.

Re: Scientists

yeah evolution of humans is crap but the dinosaurs evolved that can be proven(almost)

and I do read the bible but only the beginnings of Earth just appeared everything else had to create itself, create a society, and all of that.

Re: Scientists

dude, it is not all crap, I've checked it myself all of the evidence shows evolution exists(in dinosaurs and other beings of the time period) seriously how does a fossil of a veliciraptor first show only scales and no vocals, and then another fossil from years after that 1 show feathers and vocals, and then years later an Archaeopterix show up with traits almost identical to those of a velociraptor?

now do you see my point?

Okay. If they evolved, why are they not evolving right now?
No. I do not see your point.

Re: Scientists

because it takes a while and besides I bet some of them are like the endangered species most of them are coming back and some r a little different from what we first recorded(other scientists I mean)

and how can you not see my point it's in black and white
1.velociraptor is regular reptile
2. velociraptor changed and becomes more advanced
3.bird with same height, same shape, same average weight, same hunting styles appears.
4.velociraptors are dying out and Archaeopterix is growing in pop.(sorry, forgot to mention that part)

You still don't get it. Evolution was a theory. Nothing more.

Re: Scientists

so, it's a theory theories can be proven, in fact a bunch of theories have been proven over the past couple of years. And I heard evolution was on the verge of being proven we've gathered enuogh facts that it could be proven.
