Re: Car Crashes

Back on topic what does this have to do with bad driving?
Oh joy more snow to make the drive home fun!!!!!!!!!

Re: Car Crashes

I'm not sure, I felt this overwhelming desire to prove you wrong.

Anyway. We just got back from the Chili Bowl down in Tulsa a while back. It didn't snow, no, it had to pelt ice. I don't want to say Hail just because it wasn't that concentrated. The moment it hit anything it would melt and freeze over. The car door wouldn't open it got so bad.
A semi toppled over a bridge. A bit of a trailer still up there, the cab face first in the snow.

Earlier in the year the roads froze over in Garden City. Bad enough it crushed energy towers. And my older sister had to work that day, nearly got run over how many times. (She works in law enforcement)

Re: Car Crashes

Not all Canadians drivers are that bad. Up in Richmond, BC though, all these Chinese crack me up.  They'll cut you off all the while smiling and waving at you.  Sometimes they are completely oblivious.  And to stay on topic I was on the highway with my dad and this guy comes screaming past at about 110 mph.  And just as he is cutting in front of us he loses control and spins out smashing into the meridian totaling his car.

I'm in Montana too, and I agree. One July I remember it started hailing. Last year my mom's garden froze over during August I think. And several years back my friend's mom's garden froze during July.

Also, Canadians can't drive. At all.

it's kinda nice knowing that i'm not the only fett fanboy in montana anymore, but i gotta ask, cats or griz?

(for those of you not from montana, cats or griz is a good question to ask to find out where abouts someone is from, since bozeman and missoula are the only two cities that really matter.  i kid, i kid.  billings is good for hookers and gambling wink

Neither, I don't do the sports thing. But it is kinda funny to watch the guys at work, they all grew beards to look more "grizzly" in support of the team.

Re: Car Crashes

you're from 'zula or abouts i'm guessing.  i'm from bozeman, so i gotta ask, who's idea was it to build missoula in crazy circles?  driving there is pretty much a nightmare when you're used to the square grids down here.

Re: Car Crashes

If you want to see a city with bad street layout go to Jacksonville, it seems that no roads go through and never go in a straight line.

The best crash I saw was in Chicago an Altima rear ended a Sportage, plowing under it so the back wheels of the Sportage were up be the windshield. The funny part was when the cops showed up the guys stash had slid out from under the seat during the accident so since he was uninjured straight to jail, and the thing he kept saying is that it wasn't his. To add insult to injury the firemen were laughing at him.

Re: Car Crashes

Well yesterday a close family friend of mine was killed in a car accident. We got some heavy rain for the first time in ages. The police aren't sure if she fell asleep at the wheel or aqua-planed into a tree.

The sad thing is I only saw her on Saturday and it's so hard to believe she'd dead. She was only in her forties and had four kids - one with Downs Syndrome. Her husband had just been offered a new job and when he tried to call her he got no answer because she had already gone. I think her funeral is next week.

Re: Car Crashes

That is so sad, I know the feeling though I only have three relatives left alive the rest have already passed on, and some of my friends won't be comming back from Iraq.

Abouts, more in the Glacier area. Haven't been to Missoula in a long time, June was the last time I think, and then my mom was driving so I didn't pay attention to the roads. I don't think I've been to Bozeman in a very long time, if at all.

And, Mel, I'm sorry. sad *hug*
