Re: jango's death

Coleman Trebor was a Jedi Master on the Jedi Council, and he was a master of the lightsaber form Nivan, so at least Jango killed some important Jedi scum before dying. I wish he had killed Windu, too....

Re: jango's death

i know we dont even need windu for the story ki adi mundi or plo koon or someone couldve taken his place. they may not be as powerful as windu but at least jango would be alive!

lucas should make better use of his prequel characters. the original trilogy characters lasted at least like 2 movies. but in the prequel trilogy, maul, jango, and grievous get thrown away from the story very quickly. dooku wasnt necessary he couldve been maul after he escaped after killing qui-gon. and in episode 2 there couldve been a short scene of the CIS putting grievous together. and jango couldve had a small part in episode 1 or 3 as well.

Re: jango's death

Yeah, it was pretty cool the way he blasted Coleman Trebor off of the balcony like that. When I saw the movie, I just assumed it was another random Jedi he was blowing away (which is an impressive feat in itself). I think it's pretty notable that Lucas decided to make it a Council Member that was getting his *** handed to him by Jango. These Mandalorian cats are NOT to be underestimated.
This guy force-jumps onto the balcony and, even with the gift of precognition, couldn't match the reaction of Jango drawing his blaster as a reflex.
Man, Jango just took him out without breaking a sweat... and Dooku never doubted him for an instant. You could almost see the cocky grin he must have had under his helmet as he's twirling his blaster back into the holster... and you could almost read Dooku's thought as he looked over his shoulder: "Yeah, we DEFINITELY got our money's worth on these Clones."

"Reality is a nice place to visit... but I wouldn't want to live there."

Re: jango's death

lol dookus thought is funny.

hehe i can twirl a gun like that too! of course that doesnt mean im even close to being as good a gunslinger as jango im just saying i can....

actually i thought dooku was thinking "holy crap!"

also, there shoulve been a scene of jango killing a jedi with a saberdart all the way from the special box he was in. that wouldve been awesome

getting back on track, i think jango wouldn't have been able to get stamped on if he hadn't dived for windu's saber

You could add "getting back on track, i think jango wouldn't have been able to get stamped on if he hadn't dived for windu's saber" to your post above it. Therefor you do not need to post twice in a row.

He dived for Windu's saber after he had been trampled but the stupid thing was he should have shot Windu before he could pick it up.

Re: jango's death

no mace windu dropped his saber, jango dived, the reek stamped, the jetpack failed, windu reacted, jango died, end of story

So true

Re: jango's death

wow, couldnt read through all 7 pages, but my 2 cents-- he could have survived if he had that fancy collar to protect his neck that boba later had added on smile and jango wasnt that bad, but i think his only weakness is that he relies more on strength, than strategy, which explains why boba fett was able to live longer than his father did. he took things more head on.  no offense of course

and that Lucas and his team, for some dumb reason, wanted him dead.

Well its not a dumb reason. If he hadn't been killed Mace Windu would have died. And Windu was needed later, Jango was not. Besides, then there would have had to been some mention of him in the original trilogy.
