during the Yuuzhan Vong war Boba went missing for twenty years then he came back. Where was he?

He became Mandalore during the Yuuzahn Vong war, but I'm not quite sure where or what he was doing. Probably leading the Mandalorians, while taking the odd job when he got the chance.
