Topic: Stargate Atlantis

For discussion on the BEST Sci-Fi show, SGA. (Obiviously tongue)

Favorite episodes? Characters?

To the above questions, my answers:  Fave episode right now is probably Sateda. Wow was that awesome! Favorite character.... Rodney McKay, hands down. big_smile big_smile

EDIT:  Okay, this is really, really sad!! SOMEBODY has to have seen it, possibly, maybe???

Re: Stargate Atlantis

I love Atlantis, it's my new favorite show since SG-1 lost Colonel O'Neil (Richard Dean Anderson). Favorite character: Ronin, craziest guy ever. Favorite episode: Not sure of the name, but the recent one where Ronin gets hunted on his homeworld, and slaughters a ton of Wraith. Where McKay gets shot in the butt.

Re: Stargate Atlantis

Ah, yes!! Sateda!! That's one of my favorite episodes, too... Oh, and here's a link to the "unfortunate arrow incident" along with McKay getting high off of morphine. big_smile

Re: Stargate Atlantis

I watched it this week since SG-1 was having the 200th episode and all, but usually I don't have the attention span.  Not that it's boring or anything, I just have no attention span whatsoever for the Sci-Fi channel anymore.

Re: Stargate Atlantis

Was the 200th episode good? I'm a member of Gateworld, a "Stargate" site (I am SUCH a geek!:P), and I heard that it was really funny!

Unfortunately, the only way that I'm able to watch "Atlantis" or "Sg-1" is at my grandparents house, since my house don't have no cable. sad

Re: Stargate Atlantis

Ahh, good to see another Gateworlder.  I don't post on the messageboard that often though, a bit of a lurker.  As is my nature.

As for favourite episode, don't know if I have one, probably 'Letters from Pegasus.'
And favourite character?  Hands down Meridith Rodney McKay.

And RC, if you're a geek for being a member of Gateworld, what does it make me?  The girl that named her cat after McKay?

Re: Stargate Atlantis

YES!! Another Gater!! Welcome queenkale!! You and I'll get along REELY well!! big_smile:D

You named your cat after McKay? You are a Uber-geek! big_smile

BTW, what's your screenname on Gateworld? Mine's *cough* Cheerios *cough*

Re: Stargate Atlantis

It's QueenKale, though like I said, I rarely ever join in the discussions....and yes, my little ginger boy's name is Rodney, or if he's bad, it's Rodney McKay!  Though I wouldn't consider myself an Uber-geek, I just really dedicate myself to one particular character....He's quite like the character too, he likes to eat all the cat food in sight. big_smile

Re: Stargate Atlantis

Ah yes. Rodney and I are alike in that way too!

Mom: "Would you like seconds?"

Me: "Oh yes. And thirds."

Did you get to see Phantoms??? I didn't, since I don't have cable. sad *growl*

Re: Stargate Atlantis

Saw the first bit of it, but got distracted by something or other.

Are you enjoying the marathon that's running today?  I'm trying to catch up on all the episodes that work has made me miss, but I'll only get to watch three before I'm off to work again....*shakes fist*

Re: Stargate Atlantis

Well, unfortunately I don't have cable or satellite (VERY infuriating!)--however, my Grandpa DOES and I asked him to tape Atlantis... So hopefully I'll get to enjoy the marathon next week or so. smile

What three episodes do you get to see?

Re: Stargate Atlantis

No Man's Land
Misbegotten
Irresistable

I absolutly ADORE the storyline with Michael, I think he was a great character, but I hate the retro-virus.  It's just so...I don't know, makes me feel like they're playing God.  And Michael has just gotten the raw end of the deal, getting turned human TWICE!  I mean, come on guys, give him a break.  But I love that he was still willing to help them out in 'No Man's Land.' That and I love Connor Trinneer's portrayal, but then I'm a trekkie, so I'm a little biased.....And I loved 'Irresistable,' Richard Kind (whom I know as Mark from 'Mad About You') is such a great character himself, so much energy.  Just great.

It sucks that you don't have cable, my friend doesn't and I'm always rambling on about some show and he has NO idea what I'm talking about because it's on cable, so I kinda know what you mean.  But really, cable in it's self can be annoying, you got 80 some-odd channels, and yet there's still nothing good to watch....

Re: Stargate Atlantis

Now, I HAVE gotten to see Irresistable, since I was spending the night at my grandparents when it premiered, and I thought it was pretty good.

Carson crying in the puddlejumper was priceless!!  As were the comments about John's hair! lol lol

Re: Stargate Atlantis

I loved the end where McKay was trying to get ahold of the root (or whatever it was) that made the 'drug.'  Ahh, Rodney, don't you know that we love you just the way you are.....Or the part where Weir (was it?) was telling Carson that he was 'smitten.'  Made me giggle.  In fact, I was giggling the entire episode.

Re: Stargate Atlantis

I also loved the part where Ronon was grinning stupidly and said something along the lines of "he [Lucius] is a brave, and wonderful man."

I was in tears!

Re: Stargate Atlantis

I like atlantis but sg1 is really my favorite. My favorite episode of SGA would hav to be the one where Shepard pulls a Han/Kenobi and lands his 302 on the wraith ship. That was great.

Re: Stargate Atlantis

I like SG-1 as well, are you as bummed about the cancellation as I am?  Though I will be glad to get rid of the Ori....

Re: Stargate Atlantis

Oh, the Ori. *glowers*

I love Sg-1 too, but the Ori are just really REELY annoying.

Fett_lives--Is that episode in season 2? I've only gotten to see season one and a few episodes of season two!

Re: Stargate Atlantis

I am bummed about the cancellation. I just hope that they will make another movie or something to finish it off.  And to RC-3222 it was just last season. I am not sure what the number is but I will try to find out.

Re: Stargate Atlantis

I can't stand the Ori.  Well, I take that back, I do like the fact that they will eventually try and take out the 'ancients' (I can't STAND them, I personally believe they are the universes worst enemy), but I don't like the fact that they make the Ori followers seem so....stupid!  Like they are just mind-less, god following people....anyways, I'm hoping they make a movie too, tie up some loose ends.

I also don't like the fact that they introduce two new characters, a new lead and a secondary one, and they spent the last two (and final) seasons only developing one.  And it's not the new lead!  I like Vala, but I really want them to develop Mitchell a bit more, but they won't have time now.....

Wasn't it the finale episode of Season 2?

Re: Stargate Atlantis

Just a question, what ever happened to the giant aliens from the crystal skull episode. The Guauld are defeated pretty much, werent they there enemy? That would be a better duex ex machina than the holy grail.

Re: Stargate Atlantis

Ooohh, I also wondered what was going on with those aliens! I wonder if Danny's grandfather (I can't remember what relation to Daniel he is... or was...:P) is still with them!!

Re: Stargate Atlantis

It seems to me like Daniel has completely forgotten about him. I also want to know what happened to the aliens from foothold. That was a cool enemy and could have paid off if they had chosen to follow up that episode. Just because that planet has been locked out of the dialing computer does not mean some team wont run into them somewhere.
