Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

En'Te walked out of the church with Jun, everyone else taking off or waiting for the second ceremony. Sulliven busily talking with the friend of one Jun's cousins. She looked slightly interested, doc didn't seem to be talking about his work too much this time.
"I don't have to go on this mission y'know. We could just have the honeymoon like we planned."
She stopped, looking up at the sky a little.
"No, neither of us would feel right if something went wrong. You'll just have to go. I can wait just like always."
He looked up at the same spot she was. Still holding one of her hands.
"If that's your descision, then I guess I'd better go. I haven't died yet I guess. Might as well give fate one last throw of the dice."
"I'll see you when you come back."
He looked towards the trees, simply sighing in the wind.
"If I come back."
"No, when you come back. Let's go get ready for the next part then."
He walked along behind her, his head starting to ache again. At least he was going near Hoth. He could take Dev hunting like he'd promised. The only person that had to change was Jun, he already had on the strongest material he owned. But it got him thinking about Devon's little protoge. She didn't have the protective armor, and that tunic probably wouldn't last.
He excused himself, noticing Lukain headed inside Dev's cruiser. He could probably find something for her to wear. And thankfully his aunt was still there, her little girl about the same height as Lukain.
"Aunt Gyn'Te, do you have any extra clothing I could borrow? The strong kind, for a little girl."
She tapped her foot for a moment, eyes closed. And then opened them, getting up from her seat in front of her ship. She was a merchant, working out of her ship selling all sorts of things. She threw a pair of pants and a long sleeve shirt down, making the "you'll pay me a later" Ubese hand sign. He waved back, knocking on the front hatch until Lukain popped out.
"Hey, is Dev around here somewhere? We're about ready to leave."
"Yeah, but she's a little busy."
He nodded, her lovelife seemed to be at wits end too often. He handed the garment to Lukain and told her to get ready, he didn't have to say anything about Dev and Roby. She understood, not that surprising coming from this girl.
"Cya later kid, keep'em going like I know you will."
And with that he returned to Jun. Noticing that someone had painted 'Just married' on the side of his brand new cruiser in bright neon green. He sighed, throwing his hands up in the air.
"I'll go get a droid, there has to be at least one around..."

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

Roby stepped out of Devon's ship and walked over to En'Te, "Hey big guy, congratulations," he said as he shook En'Te's hand, "Need help?" asked Roby glancing at the writing on En'Te's brand, new ship.
"It's ok, but thanks," replied En'Te, "What's up with you and Dev, you two have been fighting a lot, but you know what it's nothing to do with me." A droid walked by, "Hey 'droid!" barked En'Te, "Clean this up will ya!"
"Right away sir."

"Devon and I are just getting used to each other, no biggy."
"Didn't look like that to me."
"Look, En'Te did you have you're ups and downs with Jun?"
"Maybe just a few, but not as serious as you two."
"Well, we still love each other,...and,...I don't know now!"
"There, there Roby," said En'Te putting his arm over Roby's shoulder, "The thing about women is that you don't question their judgment, or underestimate them, you should know, you were married for two years, I'm new to this."
"Yeah, well you know women more than what I do."
Roby walked back to his ship, and saw Wolf Man waiting there, "You ok?" asked Kane
"I'm perfectly fine."

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

The droid finished up, fiddling over, it's multi-segmented arms rattling as it went. He popped the hatch of the cruiser, motioning Jun to go first. Climbing in after her. The rest of his family had already gone off, most of them weren't allowed into the second ceremony. Apart from those he'd invited anyway. Although, Sulliven had to rush off for an apointment with the girl he'd met. He climbed up into the cockpit, helping Jun up. Watching her jump into the co-pilot's chair. He thumbed the controls, amazed how quiet it was warming up. He let Jun send the message out to Roby, Devon, and Traviss they were taking off. all the gifts tied down in the cargo hold, he still couldn't believe the number of them.
"Well, let's see how this goes then."
Taking off, the lot of them disapearing in a thin cloud of smoke. The sunset above them giving the stars away. It'd be a short flight hopefully. Treshna below them, it's surface covered in a dense cloud layer stained a thick sandy color. Once they went through it, transmission and sensors cut off for a brief moment. And they did, all the little lights blinking on and off. But they at least got the ones from the space port. The biggest one on the planet. They made their landing, sand whipping the view port wtih malice. You almost couldn't see anything. He popped the hatch carefully, thankfull for the low in the weather. They all made their way into the dock, covering their faces with their arms. Little bits of light from the system's star pouring through the dense cloud cover. Inside he met the group, Dev the most surprised with the drastic change in environ.
"And that's why we had the wedding up there, welcome to Hell folks. It's all starting to look like home eh Jun?"

Dev looked about the sand scarred planet. For once, not feeling bad that she had made Lukian go to bed early. She hadn't distanced herself away totally from Roby, but until all of her feelings settled into place and whenever she got the chance to talk to Jun'Te, she'd keep to the back of the group.

"Okay. So now what?" she asked nobody, "And why do I get the feeling that this isn't going to be a normal after-party?"

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

En walked over to one of the counters, he didn't feel like walking the trip.
"Hoy! Are there any open transports heading out to the Telven sector?"
"Not anything from us anytime soon. But there's a freelance crawler you could hitch a ride on leaving in say, twenty minutes."
Rubbing his temple he lowered one hand to where his holster would have been.
"Of all things. When's the next one of yours?"
"Well, if we don't have any arrivals going somewhere else, I could change one of the routes and get you going about an hour from now."
He nodded, motioning the others towards a set of chairs along the wall. He spent the hour resting up, thankfully they were early. At the end, a small alarm went off. The gate to the left of them popping open, revealing a hefty Sandcrawler look alike, small compared to the Jawa ones though. He picked himself up, getting the others moving.
"An hour wait with a thirty minute ride. This ought to be interesting for the lot of us."
He stepped through the gate. Sliding one of the entrance doors open, he stepped in after Jun.

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

"When is Dev going to be back?" asked Lukian for the fifth time. And this was going to be the fifth time Roby tells her, "After the after party." He tried not to get angry with the youngster. "Now come on, Dev is trusting me on this, and I don't want to tell her you've been up all night."
"But I can't sleep," the little girl said, shifting in her bunk. Roby rubbed his eyes and his forehead in frustration.
"Come on, lets do some target practice." He motioned to Lukian to come out from her bed.
"But Dev doesn't want me to practice yet."
"Well its better to learn now than learn never." Roby said as he put on his sleeveless coat, and strapped on his holster. Lukian quickly put on her shoes and her coat.

They stepped outside, the air was becoming colder, and in front of Roby and Lukian were stacked up cargo crates, Roby took his gun from his holster and turned a few small dials until the red laser pointer was more visible. "Alright, its ready, now this thing can blast a hole through a guy, the size of a protocol droid's head," said Roby to Lukian as he handed her the blaster, "Now, just aim it slowly," said Roby guiding Lukians aim, "Now, you see the symbol on the crate," said Roby slowly, as Lukian nodded,"Well, I want you to aim the red point on the symbol and when you're ready, I want you to fire."
Lukian nodded again, and once the red point was on the symbol, the girl fired, and blew the crates away.
"You're a natural!" laughed Roby,"Ok now when there are multiple targets there's the rapid fire dial, you can choose the speed of the firing."
Lukian turned the dial slowly and fired at the remaining crates.
"Alright." said Roby like a proud father. "Feeling tired now?"
Lukian nodded.
"Ok, time to travel to the land of nod." And Roby picked up Lukian, and put her in her bed.
"Can you sing me a lullaby, Roby?"
"Sure."
And he sang to her until she fell asleep. Roby then stepped out of the ship and was about to light a cigarette, when an angry delivery man came along and saw his crates blasted apart. "What the hell happened here?!"
Roby just leaned against the ship and snickered as he put the lighted cigarette in his mouth, and watched the man swearing in some language.

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

Devon didn't have to force a laugh as Roy explained to her what had happened over the comm when she had commed to check up on Lukian. The link was scratchy and full of static, so she didn't stay on too long. Dev wasn't upset that Roby had shown Lukian the basics, just surrpirsed that Lukian had asked to be sung to sleep.
Dev looked up to see Jun'Te giving her a quizical look. "What?" Jun'Te shook her head, "Nothing, just curious." Dev cocked her head to one side, "You're going to make me ask, aren't you? So, what are you curious about?" "You and Roby. You guys argue a lot, but you were just laughing." Devon shrugged, "Just getting used to each other's quirks." "Really?" Jun'Te drug out the word, disbelieving. "We love each other...it's just. I don't know anymore. It's like being on a rollercoaster...that's missing some of it's tracks. I don't wanna talk about it right now."
Jun'Te nodded, understanding, and let the topic drop, "Can I talk to you about something, Devon'Re?" Dev nodded affirmative, "Watch over, En'te, will you?" Devon almost chuckled, but realized that this was not the time or place for it, "Hey, Red--En'te can take care of himself. But, if it'll ease your nerves, I'll make sure that he doesn't do anything stupid," she settled farther into her seat, "Wake me when we get there."
Before Devon fell totally to slumber, she heard En'te tell Jun'Te, "You know, Roby said almost the exact same thing."

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

Roby was finishing off his cigarette when a hooded man came out from a dark corner of the space port, "I've been hunting you down for a while now, Roby."
"Not you again," whined Roby,"I thought I blasted your hands off and that you perished in some explosion."
"Yes, an explosion YOU caused." The man now threw the robe off. Revealing robotic hands, and a bald head. He ignited his lightsabre and started showing off his skills. While he was showboating, Roby took out his blaster and killed the so-called Sith instantly. Lukian opened the ship door, "What's going on?"
"Nothing to worry about, just swatted a fly."
"Oh." The little girl returned to her bed and resumed her sleep.
"Stupid Sith, they never seem to learn."
Roby opened his coat pocket and pulled out a holo-photograph of Devon, Lukian, and himself after their hunting trip on Hoth. Roby put it away and lit another cigarette.

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

En shifted his weight a little, the only one still half-awake besides Jun. Not that either one of them could drift off, a trait that made parties all the more exciting at times. He watched the vast stretching desert out a window someone'd installed on the side. Standing up, he moved over to a door, headed through and closed it behind him. He hadn't touched a light in ages, and the crawler's smoke room was a great touch.
He pulled out one of the small nearly flat pieces of paper from a pocket under his shirt. He lit it, moving it up to his lips. Exhaling smoke that lit itself into a fiery blaze a foot or so from him. He'd probably started again because of Roby, but his wasn't a drug. His was a child's novelty, the igniting flame the only reason he messed with them. It kept him entertained for the most part, still watching the landscape for anything new.

As Roby puffed away, Lukian stuck her head out of the hatchway, and made Roby jump and drop his cigarette.
"You know that isn't healthy for your heart, Roby."
"You sneaking up on me isn't good for my heart."
"I mean it Roby," said Lukian seriously,"I don't want Dev and I to lose you."
Roby stared at the lit cigarette and dropped it to the ground, "There I quit smoking, now can you get to sleep."
"Brush your teeth."
"Alright, as long as you go back to your bed and close your eyes, and wake up in the morning." Roby walked to his ship and entered the bathroom, he brushed his teeth thoroughly and stepped out again.
"Good." nodded Lukian, and she went back to her bed.
Roby resumed standing outside Devon's ship.

Hey, guys and gals. If I seem detached, and if I don't get on for the next couple of days. Don't worry. Some bad stuff, I don't want to get into it 'cause I'll start crying, has come up. Plus, school is about to start up (tomorrow). Don't worry, I'm fine. Make sure that True keeps up with this, Talk to You Guys and Gals Later. A plus side is that the Chibis will be back. I'll be back soon, see ya.

Okay, um, I'll be checking in on the site breifly, but not long enough to post. I know, I'm pulling a Dev, but I'll be back, I promise. ^ L ^  (that's supposed to be a L on a forehead, but whatever.TTYL.)

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

(alright, whatever works, I'll finish up this and get us going with a single post.)
En stepped out after everyone else, walking along a path not covered in sand. He pulled the door back, going in last. All sitting down. His parents walked in through the door across from the one they'd used. Passing around glasses to everyone, filling them to the brim with a hot clear liquid.
"What is this?"
He kept quiet, letting his mother tell Dev.
"It's a mixture of harmless spider poison with water."
He gulped down half of it, watching the looks from the others. They at least tried it.
"Now then, En come with me."
He followed his father into the room he'd come out of. A set of inks and brushes set neatly in front of them.
"I see both of you lost your masks."
"No, mine was split in half. Her's was stolen."
The old man scratched at his beard, sand probably caught in it.
"Well then, take those inks and such. Enjoy yourself for tonight, I'll have the smith make a new set you can pick up in the morning."
He nodded, finishing off the glass. The two of them with nothing much to talk about.
"So, he starts poking the guy in the arm..."
He returned to the rest after an hour. Talking with the rest of them for another two hours.
"Another glass if you don't mind..."
And then came sleep, each of them settling somewhere around the room. The only other door leading into the rest of the family house. His remaining family hanging about through the rest of the structure. He wasn't too sure who else was there anymore.
In the morning, the crawler returned and they were off. En saying goodbye to Jun before leaving with Dev and Roby. They had a mission to worry about.
"See you soon girl, and when I get back. We'll have the greatest time we've ever had."
He let go of her hands, never turning around and almost tripping on the step up into the craft. His armor and new mask with half the set of inks packed in the corner.

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

It was dawn, and Roby was preparing his gear, his helmet was cleaned thoroughly, his Sabretooth cat cape was cleaned of dust mites, and his wrist gauntlets oiled. He shaved his face(a ritual he does before every mission).
Once he was finished, he put his armor on and adjusted his wrist gauntlet. Now to just wait for Dev and the rest of the team, Roby told himself.
"I'm ready Roby!" Lukian shouted from Devon's ship.
"Alright come out here then."
Lukian stepped out and ran over to Roby, they both stood waiting together.
"Can we do some target practice?" Lukian asked innocently.
Roby was wearing his helmet, so his voice sounded sharper, "Not today."
Lukian was going to start pouting, when she caught Roby look down at her, and thought better of it.
"When we're back at base we'll work in better environments."
"Is that a promise?"
"Maybe." said Roby jokingly. "Of course, I'll teach you."
A smile spread across Lukian's face.

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

"Yeah, well, you let me take care of the martial arts, alright?," Devon smiled, glad to be back in her time/use worn moss-brown armour, helmet tucked under her arm, "I gotta teach my kid something," she said with a light air, but seriously.
She hopped out the ship, she hadn't bothered cleaning up her armour, it's scraps, burn marks, and dents were part of it's character. Her ice-blue cape's edges were frayed and tattered, the silver twelve-pointed star had faded. But, she had gotten a hair-cut, she had gotten it shaved closer to her head, much to Lukian's displeasure.
Devon burst out laughing as Roby doubled over as he tried to put Lukian on his shoulders, he set her down and exclaimed, "Kid, you gotta lay off the duracrete." He glanced over at her, Devon was still laughing, that surprised him. She hadn't laughed like that in a long time.
"Dev sewed armour plating ito my shirt and pants," Lukian explained. "Yeah, well, just tell me that next time before I make a total dikut of myself infront of Dev, okay?" he whispered.
Devon sighed, actually wiping a tear from her eye, "Okay, I'm good now. Let's go meet this friend of your's, Roby."

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

Kane stuided the group as they came. Trying to determine the pecking order. En'te was obviously the leader when it suited him, but they all seemed to be on the same level. He had been told that Hobbe and Kal were the newest, but, he wouldn't have been able to tell. The two meshed with the rest of squad easily. Though, the small pup did throw him off. Roby had told him that Devon had no child and had never been married. Then what was she doing with a human child? He'd have to learn their relationship later, he had more pressing matters.
"Is everyone here?" When he got no answer, he continued, "I have transmitted the loctation of our destination to your ship's data. We will stay in the Hoth system for a short while, and then ship out. We will get a more detailed breifing when we arrive."
"We?" Devon asked, eyebrow cocked. "Yes, we. Meaning all of those here, including myself, Tache." Her body jerked a little at hearing her last name, it had probably escaped the other's notice, "Dev or Devon, Kane. Umm, I've got one question, what will you bring to the squad? Just so we know what to do with you in the field." "Assassination, obeservation, and inflitration," he explained. "My job, in other words," she smiled truthfully, "We'll get along just fine."
"You're too trusting, Devon'Re," En'te told her, he directed his attention on Kane, "We're just supposed to follow you? How do we know you're not Death Watch taking us to our deathes?" "Yes, you are. I am an old friend of Roby's, and I saw both Devon and Lukian run a voice and facial scan on myself and compare it to Roby's files. Did I pass?"
Both Hobbe and Kal answered, "Yes," they turned to En'te and Kal said, "We do know how to take care of ourselves, Red'De."
"Right, but," En'te began and Lukian finished, "But at the first sign of trouble, we bail, right?" Roby ruffled her blonde hair, "Once on the mission, no, but before, maybe."
"We will leave at once," Kane turned on his heel and headed off for his ship.
"Come on, Lukian. We gotta see if my old armour will fit you," she took the girl's hand, and realized that the boys were still sitting, "You can argue  about your trust issues and sport stats later over the comm later, we're leaving."
As her ship prepped, Devon had Lukian set in the hyperspace code for Kendra's Folly, while she looked for her old armour.

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

(Well at least we know)

Roby stood inside his ship locking everything, since he was going to be traveling with Devon and Lukian, he didn't want any scavengers ripping his ship apart, not that there was anything valuable to steal, except for the old holo-photograph of when he first met his wife, "I should throw this thing away, I'm starting somethin' new." Roby said to himself. He shut the image down and pressed the button to erase the image, he placed it in a disposal bin, and stepped out of the ship and punched in the final codes to keep the ship secure. He turned around and started walking to Devon's ship, where he took off his helmet and for the first time in his life he was relaxed.
"Locked away everything?" asked Devon.
"Yeah." said Roby, as he locked the ship's door behind him.

((Okay, I've  been slacking. Guess it's my turn.))

Devon sighed and leaned back into her chair, "Wake me when we get there, L," she said to the small girl in the co-pilot seat.
"Uh, Dev?" Lukian asked, jerking a thumb back behind them at an unemployed Roby.
"Hmm," she looked behind her, obviously she had forgoten he was there, "Oh, I actually have no idea what to do with you, Roby. Your decision to travel with us was a bit sudden..." she trailed off, thinking, "Hey, L, show him where he'll be staying. I'll keep us on track."

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

"Don't worry, Dev," said Roby scratching the side of his face, "I can stand up, I've been in more difficult situations." He stretched, grumbled, and put on his helmet. "Once this mission is over, I'm going to hibernate."
"Idiot," whispered Devon under her breath.
Roby tapped the side of his helmet, "I can hear you."
Devon was already comfortable in her seat, and didn't really hear what Roby said. To her, his voice in that helmet sounded rather quiet, as she drifted off to sleep.
You're worse than a cat, when it comes to listening, thought Roby, as he smiled to himself.

Re: Mandalorian Rebellion 2 (Didn't know what to call it)

En chuckled to himself, awake enough to listen to the love birds. Leaning his back up against the wall in the corner. Trying to calibrate the new eye better, it still wasn't tracking right. Off by at least two inches to two centimeters depending on the distance away. En hated new eyes, especially right before a mission, they always got him into trouble somehow. No matter the circumstance.
Trying his best to make the best of his time he pulled out a notepad. For once he'd have a list of supplies the higher ups could reimburst him for should he lose anything. Rooting through his own supplies the list took two pages of the flimsy pad. Not including odds and ends he hadn't bothered with. Just another day in the life.
